"It was nice. The front desk guy wouldn't let us check in with just my id even though it was under my name he wanted the itinerary or he wanted an extra 15$ in cash to check in. I've never had that happen. The room had no garbage can, no phone, no ice bucket or bags, no coffee or tea maker, no remote for the tv which never worked once we got a remote for it. It was a very small room with a very large bathroom. The shower was set so high that when you turned it on it went out of the shower...

"Lovely rooms ( I stayed in two because my work trip was unexpectedly extended) with stylish decor and great views. Would definitely stay again! Staff was helpful and responsive. They made a billing error but corrected it right away once I inquired. Easy to walk to bijou restaurants and a corner market. 10-12 min walk to the subway. "

"When we checked in, the key cards weren't working for the rooms. Sofia, at the front desk, went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and even had our roll away bed made when we got back to the hotel. She had great communication to make us feel comfortable and safe. "

"The trip was amazing the hotel was great especially for the price. It was clean and quiet coffee shop right next door and not to far from subway. The bed was a little small to be a queen but other than that everything else was great. "

"The hotel itself was for the most part clean. When we arrived, after taking 20 minutes to check in and being given a smaller, lesser room because the room we booked was unavailable we finally were able to get to the room. Once upon entering, it was SO hot. The AC turns off automatically after a certain amount of time. We went out that day, and when we got back, it was off, completely. "

"Decor looking a little tired - we stayed at Staryed at Sonder Court Square for 6 weeks and no fresh paintwork appears to have been applied. We visit at least once a year - have used 3 other hotels in the area. Will probably return to a competitor a few blocks away from Sonder."

This place has parking which is unique. The neighborhood is funky - one of the few remaining around NYC - like Brooklyn only 30 years ago. Great Irish pub with excellent food a few blocks down. IATSE and Teamsers hang with lots of big studios around

Lived in NYC in the late 90's and 00's. It was not a place people talked about. Since coming back I seen some difference. More residential buildings. Looks like Manhattan is crossing the east river. The future is promising for LIC.

I love staying in LIC. Fast Manhattan access. Catch the Roosevelt Island tram at least once!
"I wanted my daughter’s first trip to NYC to be memorable - and that included where we stayed - so The New Yorker was perfect! It was just what we had hoped for - a piece of history but with all the modern conveniences!
It was also a short walk from the train station when we arrived, we were able to check in easily and felt safe the entire time!
We walked to many attractions and even caught some Ubers very easily!
Highly recommend for a memorable experience!!!"
"Had an amazing experience from check in to parking the car. Friendly and helpful staff. Was a great place to stay would recommend if your going to Madison Square garden. "
"The hotel is absolutely stunning, and the pleasant scent throughout makes you want to stay forever. Its location is perfect, all the main attractions in New York are within walking distance, which is incredibly convenient. Dining options around the hotel are endless, with some of the best restaurants in Midtown just steps away.
The staff were outstanding, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to New York."
"Love this place. Was exactly as described. Feels like a cross between a hostel with shared bathrooms and a pod hotel with the privacy. Was quiet overall compared to a hostel, but noisier than a fully self-contained pod hotel. The extra touches made it nicer than either. No real ceiling, more of a trellis. The cleaning staff was present, visible, friendly, and consistent. Great location. Hard to read sign out front until you’ve seen it once. Happy there is a women’s only floor. Thought I would be the oldest person there. Young crowd overall, but saw people in there 50s like me also. Would very happily stay there again. "
"The staff (and especially the hotel bartenders Ben and Evon) were so awesome! Professional and Sweet and so helpful letting us know what places to visit. The hotel is immaculate and very conveniently located! "
"Stayed for four days and had a wonderful experience. The Hotel is in a great location and easy to get to many places especially when eating. Staff were super friendly and helpful!! I am never disappointed when I stay at Hotel Edison!! "
"The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a great view of the Empire State Building. The hotel was close to a subway stop that could take us everywhere we had planned to visit. "
"I stayed here last year so I was expecting no ac and falling apart furniture. Luckily our room was impecable, clean, ac working tooooo good, hot water in Shower and clean comfy beds. Of courseee the elevator took forever but I had patience and it was nothing. They def need a tiny fridge in the rooms that would fit. We made our own ice bucket that cost me ice daily because that also didn’t work. I would stay here again. Location is prime. "
