Menorca

What you need to know before you go

Menorca is one of the most popular parts of the Balearic Islands, where travellers can find world-class beaches complemented by rural villages perched atop inland hills. The coast of Menorca is larger than all of the beaches of Ibiza and Mallorca combined, so you’ll never be too far from a pristine beach. Nearly 200 small coves are located on Menorca alone, so there are plenty of fascinating natural features to explore.

Traversing this island is easy thanks to the convenient and well-kept Camí de Cavalls, a bridleway that circles the entire island. It’s suitable for several methods of travel, so you’ll decide between walking, biking and even horseriding to get around. This path is 115 miles long, so it’s best to pick which sections are most interesting to you before you go. If horseriding isn’t quite enough for you, the towns of Ciutadella and Mahón have hippodromes that host horse races.
