Helpful staff, and a laundromat.
Slow wifi, banister a bit dodgy but the showers are new.
I was in a 15-bed dorm which was almost empty, I think they try and set beds aside in case the weather gets too cold and homeless people around Bath need to be put up in an emergency. I overheard the staff taking calls from a charity who who were looking for somewhere to stay for one of their clients.
My main gripe was that on the 2nd evening a young lady moved into the dorm and acted as if she'd rented the whole dorm, taking up all the place on the one clothes rack in the room for instance, and on the one table in front of the mirror. She chatted on her phone until 1am and the next morning, she got up before 7am, was noisy, and was still not dressed (i.e. was still in her bathrobe, sitting at the table in front of the mirror and applying various cosmetics, some of them quite smelly) when I left at 10am. The next evening she was quieter but there was a young Indian lady who masturbated in the bunk underneath mine, several times during the night, which woke me up. Both women were quite noisy in the morning again, and just couldn't get ready. Both times there was someone else in the dorm besides me, and there were unhappy too. On the last morning, the Asian lady actually made a long video call in the dorm (while doing her make up), that ended in an argument. I'm on a 0-hour contract and work shifts (night, 6am start etc.) following a cancer diagnosis so I really need my sleep.
