Insulted by staff, ignored by management
Read the 1-star reviews before you book. I normally don’t, because I generally assume they’re one-off situations, but my experiences matches many others at TD Lodge.
When I arrived, I had a booking mistake (my error, not theirs). As I tried to resolve it the host snapped at me and said, “I’ll only help you if you stop being a BIT**.” Completely inappropriate in any scenario. I did not react and only at the end of our discussion calmly said I shouldn’t have been spoken to that way, which was met with more expletives. (She also mentioned hating her job — it showed.)
I shared the experience by asking the GM to step aside privately, so as not to make a scene, but hoping they would could do some training. At first I was met with defensiveness by the AGM, but the GM seemed to listen, which I appreciated. They then offered to help with my booking issue, but then dodged my follow-up: multiple calls/emails, and had desk staff send me in circles to an “off-site GM” who "didnt have time to talk" to me. (Their website’s “Our Team” page listing the CEO and heads of staff is just stock photos and fake names :/ )
I've done everything I can for 2 weeks to not have to write this bad review b/c with some changes this spot could be great. BUT between being insulted by staff and ignored by management, it’s clear this hotel doesn’t care about its guests.
Absolutely unprofessional, unacceptable. Do not stay here.
If you know who owns Hoseit Management LLC, pass this along to them please.
