Some rooms were nice with a lovely view of the river, but others marketed as 'view' were a stretch. There were several drawbacks starting with the hotel’s layout, with separate buildings and steep stairs, which could be challenging for older guests or those with disabilities, and assistance with luggage was only offered to my 80-year-old father when asked.
We were greeted with a non-alcoholic Kool-Aid welcome drink, which felt underwhelming. A shuttle to the beach would have been a great amenity, especially given the short distance and lack of parking there. Additionally, the smoking policy wasn't enforced, impacting the experience.
For the high price during peak season, I expected better service; the front desk wasn’t open all hours, and there was no complimentary breakfast. Overall, while there were enjoyable aspects, there's notable room for improvement in service and amenities.
