Initially travelling to France was a suddenly planned trip, so I could only make a reservation with a non-cancellable option with the hotel due to the short time lag between my date of booking and my date of intended stay.
However, I cancelled my trip to France just the night before the announcement of lockdown of France. I contacted the hotel for many times to ask for any contingency plan and refund arrangement, but obviously, there were no staff on duty to reply phone calls or emails.
After I was back to my country, I had to contact Hotels.com and Hotels.com tried to contact the hotel on behalf of me, which wasted a lot of communication time. Ultimately, the hotel did not reply to any of our inquiry email. Such poor customer service was very unacceptable and unprofessional!
I have never been to France, and even for my next visit, I will never ever book or recommend this hotel to my family and friends!!
