Warm elegant cottage We were glad to stay 2 nights in Normandy Inn which allowed us ample time in enjoying the atmosphere and surrounding environment of Carmel by the sea. It was a small But nice town. Very quite and good for a leisure breakaway. The Inn is small with basic facilities But still adequate for tourist. The yard, breakfast room and sitting room are beautiful and well kept. Room is comfortable. The only down side is not having adequate onsite parking. I will stay here if I come to Carmel again.

Hotel was very nice but didn’t give 5 stars because check in is at 3 and we got there at 3:45 and the employee just kept saying you’ll have to come back after 3 because your room isn’t ready. When I questioned the time another employee said it’s because I booked last minute. Weird. Also don’t expect breakfast- it basically yogurt bananas or tiny muffins. Besides those two things the room was really nice, comfy beds and very clean. The hotel is in a great location to walk town. Also the am employees were very nice.

Quaint yet expensive
Our stay was great. We love Carmel. The room was good, it was clean. The woman at check-in was lovely. Overall, it was really expensive at $500 for one night. It wasn't worth that amount of money. The 'breakfast' is not great, pre packaged hard boiled eggs... some whole fruit, cheap pastries. I've walked by this hotel for years, and have always thought it looked quaint. It is. It was quite, which I was concerned about because our cabin was on the main street. But it was okay at night.

There couldn’t be a more perfect location for visiting Carmel. This hotel was clean, quaint and incredibly convenient. Rooms are not large but very comfortable. Continental breakfast was a nice added bonus.

Room 302 was our first room. It overlooks the street. We enjoyed the breeze that would come through the window. Things that I would change. The lighting in the bathroom by the mirror could be better. It would be nice if you had soft closed toilet seats. It would be nice if you had open top garbage cans in the bathroom. The small closed top garbage can are hard to access. Beyond that it was quite an enjoyable stay.
