Hotel was good, friendly and helpful staff, friendly locals but the breakfast was poor badly burnt bacon, eggs not cooked correctly, had to pay for parking no hotel free parking.

Pub Environment in the centre of the village. Friendly staff.

Although the building is a little dated it is very adequate for an inn stay. The staff are brilliant and the breakfast awsum. The local area appears pleasant and quiet after the pub shuts although a long way from civilisation, it's a great getaway location.

Excellent all round and very friendly and helpful staff

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and happy to help. The food was very good and the room was very pleasant with really nice bathroom toiletries, with good wi-fi availability. Only a couple of minor criticisms - the reception on the TV wasn't particularly good, but the pub is in a very poor reception area, so not their fault. Also, being a pub, the music from the bar was able to be heard through the floor, but it stopped at a reasonable time. Very clean throughout. I would be very happy to stay here again.

Everyone was friendly. Parking was easy and 5hey made us a breakfast to takeaway so we could eat it after we did Mount Edgecombe parkrun 😙

Firstly the good staff we welcoming and friendly, breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. Room was ok a little tired in places but overall good. Sadly the bed was the most uncomfortable we have ever attempted to sleep as not much sleep was had as bed was so hard difficult to get comfortable. It was noisy as it’s obviously a pub up until 12.30 ish but as they have maccerator toilets in the en-suite these are also incredibly noisy when flushed or when using the tap in the en-suite sink so if someone uses during night early morning this whirring motor type noise can be heard in your room and everyone else’s so tried not to use during night. No onsite parking but parking just up the street at public car park this was reasonably priced so no hassle really, general store/supermarket over the road and cash point which was handy but we would not return purely because of the lack of sleep we had from the rock hard thin mattress.

Super friendly place. Only slight downside is the road traffic early morning but obviously not the hotel's fault

Had a lovely stay here! The toiletries were lovely, beds were clean and comfy, towels were amazing! Well equipped, and the staff were SO lovely and welcoming and ever so helpful. Breakfast was fantastic too, we were given lots of choice. Will definitely return!
