Renovated Kyoto Guesthouse
This historic tradition Kyoto guesthouse is renovated with a very comfortable atmosphere. Staff are quite good in English. No communication problem at all. Their cuisine made of lots of fresh ingredients and good cooking technique, but I think it is a bit fusion cuisine rather 100% tradition style. It is a very good choice if you are frist time to Kyoto, but if you are a experienced Gourmet you may find the price is just fair for what you get. Especially for the breakfast, a bit simpler than my expectation. But all in all a good experience. 3 Shared bathroom for 8 rooms. Bathroom drainage system has some problem, it cannot drain well in a timely manner resulting a little pool on the floor. The owner have to check this out.

It's really close to Kyoto JR station, we just walked about 10-15 mins to reach there. So, we could go everywhere in Kyoto easily. And the breakfast was so nice.. ! We miss there!

Hotel is very old and very Japanese style. Very clean. But the shower room separates from room which is a bit pity. But the shower room has a big bathtub which compensates the shortcomings.

非常好的一次体验，良好的服务，优雅的环境，美味的饮食。总体来说在这里住宿的二晚是整个日本旅程中非常完美的体验。唯一的问题就是老房子中会有小虫子，有一天晚上就有一只蟑螂到我们房间串门了，我们的房间是二层的“幸”。 旅馆的位置是非常方便的。 我想再次入住的可能性极大，我也很愿意推荐朋友入住。

井筒安旅館鄰近京都車站 附近也有公車站及地鐵站交通非常方便 附近的東本願寺在秋天銀杏染黃天空剎是美麗 旅館的服務人員很親切 環境也很乾淨整潔 是一間很有日式風味的傳統旅館 早餐非常美味 服務人員會在你指定的時間將早餐送來 也會在你外出回到旅館前將床鋪好 準備好新的浴衣 整理好環境 在這邊住了五個晚上的我覺得是一個很好的體驗 我的房間是有附浴室的 浴室雖然比較小一點 然後有一點冷 不過不影響居住的品質 房間很大 該有的用品包括吹風機 盥洗用具都有(本來擔心傳統旅館會沒有附) 整體而言是一個值得推薦的旅館喔 在櫃台旁的小客廳有提供免費的wifi

歷史悠久的旅館, 一定看得出歲月的痕跡. 但也體會的到旅館人員盡全力為顧客服務的熱誠。 體會到在連續劇看到的大眾澡堂，默默的提早在其他人晚飯時間一個人跑進去趕快洗。 無論如何都是不到日本是體驗不到的有趣經驗！

Understand what you are signing up for with this hotel- if you are taking trains to get to this hotel, be ready for a bit of a walk on some very narrow streets. But convenience store is nearby, staff is very attentive and personable and bath experience was a 10+.

This by far was my favorite experience in Japan, I wish I had stayed more than one night. The private onsen was amazing, and the room was big and cozy. The staff was also so great and very kind and helpful! I highly highly recommend staying at this ryokan!

Very close to train station and easy to get to. Staff were very friendly and kind. Room was impeccable and very comfortable. Showers/Onsen are small private rooms that can be time reserved. Breakfast was a good traditional meal. Although beautiful, The place is noisy both from inside and street noises. They do provide earplugs. Do find it to expensive for the experience provided. The onsen experience being just a hot tiled bath and nothing more. In hindsight wouldn’t have spent this much for it.

We - a newly married couple - stayed at Izuyasu for two nights in the room called Yuu, which was quite big. It contained a bedroom with a small sitting area overlooking a parking lot, a toilet, and a dinning area with a view towards a small garden. The dinning area had modern chairs which we appreciated since we aren't used to sitting on the floor. Two bottles of water, coffe and tea was included. The bedroom had two futons on top of more modern mattresses. Although the beds became more raised and slightly more confortable than just the traditional futon beds, it was not comfortable to sleep here for us who are used to western modern beds. The ryokan also has three small bathrooms which you book for an hour. To have a bathroom just for the two of us is very luxurious so we appreciated this. But it seems like not all guests understand that you are supposed to shower properly before getting into the bath since we saw that there was hair and dirt in the baths on both evenings. This is something we were instructed on upon check in but my suspicion is that some guests neglect this completely or just rinse their bodies quickly. The check in was really nice and thorough - they have staff who speak excellent English and they take the time to sit down with you and go through all the information about the hotel while offering you a small sweet and green tea. The ryokan is clean and well maintained.

Amazing ryokan. It was mind blowing to be served a 7 course meal by the seventh generation owner/chef. The dinner was amazing. The property is beautifully decorated. Everything is centered around the guests’ comfort.

Gorgeous historical property with a superb staff. Clean and very comfortable. Shared bathrooms weren’t an issue as there were only a handful of guests. Close to Kyoto Station. Nino was at the desk during our stay and made sure we were comfortable. Great Ryokan experience in Kyoto. Thank you!!
