Sleep don’t eat
There is no stairs but they have a cart for you to roll your luggage to stairs. The pool was not heated. The breakfast sucked. “OJ”watered down, more like orange water. Waffle maker did not work. They had cream cheese and no bagels. The butter for the toast was frozen. The eggs were swimming in grease and the attendant came and dumped the sausage patties in the water of the steamers. And when told that’s not what you do, she didn’t speak English and walked out.

Cleanliness, hot water an issue
Carpets in the haIlways are dirty, with lots of dust and debris in corners. In my room there was dust/grime build up on the baseboards throughout the room, but especially in the bathroom where a glob of toothpaste from (presumably) the last occupant remained in the sink. Some of the fixtures seem to have been caulked to within an inch of their lives , while the soap dispensers were made of cheap metal that I thought would clatter off the wall each time I used it. The shower water never got very hot either morning of my stay and the temperature went from tepid to cool as I showered. The little sofa in the room was dirty and looked tired and old. We did not sit on it during or stay. The bedcoverings (they were white) seemed clean. Both mornings of our the coffee ran out at breakfast and guests had to locate the staff member to refill/replace. Just a really tattered, depressing facility that is not being well maintained.

Staff was friendly very nice. Breakfast bar was great. Shapoo dispenser was broken. Room was not vacumed during stay. Light over coffee maker had no apparent nighttime off switch

The staff was friendly but the rooms were dated and a little dingy. I was traveling alone and didn't feel unsafe but did notice that the peep hole cover wouldn't stay up and the lock seemed very wobbly.

It’s a fine hotel to stay in when you are catching a flight. The shuttle runs from 3:20 AM. It’s a little noisy because it faces the runway. Bring your earplugs and it’s fine,

Beats the pricey, luxury hotel
On the second night of a trip to New Haven, we made reservations here because we were flying out of Bradley International the next morning early. We had stayed in a downtown upscale and pricey hotel the night before and were disappointed. This hotel was all the other was not at 1/2 the cost. Spacious rooms, clean, well appointed with coffee maker, not nespresso machine. The bathroom was larger and more up to date. My wife and i both commented on the relative difference, in favor of this Holiday Inn Express.
