Wonderful
It was wonderful! However, some things needed to be improved in the cottage. There were two lights in the corner which was ugly. There was no light where the coffee maker was, we could barely see in there. Dim lighting in the bathroom and the exhaust fan didn't work.

Staff was not pleasant. The room was OK.
I did not appreciate my interaction with the staff. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and when I mentioned that the response was unfortunately we can’t do this or we can’t do that because we need a certain amount of notice for our luxury packages. I tried to explain I didn’t want an upsell just would’ve been nice if they did something to acknowledge it. I followed up the following day and spoke to the supervisor Tawny and I felt like she came across abrasive and was not very accommodating. The cottage and the layout of the property was nice. The floors are cold and the rooms could use slippers. The overall set up is not bad, but I was really turned off by my interaction with the staff. The breakfast was

The most charming hotel stay in quite some time. Having an entire cottage with a rustic sense yet modern fixtures was a delight. There were so many little, thoughtful touches that you would never expect but can completely appreciate. Highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect setting. Not only was the room beautiful and smelled AMAZING, but you could walk through the herb garden after dinner like we did, and the restaurant was spectacular. The picnic basket on the porch for breakfast might've been our favorite touch, but it's easily one of the cutest places I've stayed anywhere. 1000% will be back.

The Hill Country Herb Garden is a lovely property with peaceful surroundings. The cottages are nice and private but the platform bed did not offer a great deal of comfort. We were able to take advantage of the spa on our last day but having the spa and restaurant closed during much of our stay was a bummer.

Beautiful Property, Fantastic Service
We celebrated our 19th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend with a stay here and it was perfect! The cottages are charming and quaint, each with a porch and overhead fan. We stayed in one of the Cottages and it was perfectly decorated to match the site and had all the comforts you would want in a high end spa/retreat. The restaurant on site was super convenient for our first night, as we were tired and didn't want to head to Main Street. Dinner was delicious, service was quick, and we got some great suggestions for where to go the next day from Ophelia. We'll definitely be back!!

Our experience at the Hill Country Herb Garden was amazing. The peaceful and serene surroundings with the adorable individual cottages, complete with front porch rockers and swings, made for a fantastic anniversary getaway. We also loved the tasty breakfast that arrived at our front door in a quaint picnic basket. The restaurant was delightful with a very aesthetic decor and we happened to be visiting when they had a talented singer/guitarist that made for a perfect dining experience. My husband and I cannot wait to visit again.
