The room was in a terrible state.
First of all the room was freezing. It took well over an hour to warm up. The grill on the heating unit was uncovered with exposed nails. (Burning hazard for children if they were to accidentally touch it)
The door did not open from the outside. Even with the master keys. Every time the staff had to use 2 screwdrivers to force the locks to unlock!
There was no stopper in the sink So if you dropped anything it would go down the drain. Literally.
The bathtub got clogged when we took a shower.
The toilet got clogged when we flushed.
There was brown stuff on the walls. Not sure what it was. I was too afraid to touch and see.
The wallpaper was peeling in several places.
We asked to change the room and they said they would fix the door but they never did.

Do NOT book this hotel
The hotel shuttle took 45 minutes to arrive. The shuttle driver parked across the street requiring me to walk across a busy street with my luggage. There was tape across my room door lock. The television is a 32 inch with marks and stickers all over the panel. Crayon markings all over the walls. The noise made it hard to sleep. I went to get a remote for my television and was locked out of my room. I was told that the door lock to my room was broken. I was told to leave my door unlocked if I needed to leave the room. The television never worked. I’m in travel healthcare. I went to the lady at the front desk at 10:30am. I informed her that I was unsure if I would be staying another night…let me check to see if my apartment is ready…she continued to bang on the door EVERY five minutes. I went to get some tea…locked my door…it took them 20 minutes using a crowbar before I could get into my room…no discount…no apologies…POOR POOR customer service!!!
HORRIBLE…HORRIBLE….HORRIBLE!!!! Do NOT book this hotel!!!!

Nice experience
Hotel is very convenient if uou have a flight to catch at jfk. Shuttle was good and driver even drop us to the terminal. Very kind stuff at the front desk was very friendly. Place is ok for a night or two. I would definitely stay again.

Needs updating-upgrading
Just, NO. Staff was the surprising bright spot here. New airport van. All else average to below. There are nice Quality Inns. This isn't one of them.

Close proximity to the airport
I enjoyed my one night stay. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the shower water temperature was perfect. The tv channels were easy to navigate once i found the guide. The one minir downside was that there are steps just after the check in desk and after flying solo for for 7 hours, it was daunting to know that the had to carry my heavy bags down the steps (it was maybe 4-6 steps). The shuttle assisted me with one bag, for which i was thankful.
Otherwise, i enjoyed my visit and will consider this hotel again.

A+ for affordability, the staff and VIP shuttle
I recommend a stay at Quality Inn for anyone passing through JFK that needs a good rest. The room is small but had everything I needed including a fridge, coffee maker and king size bed. Burger King, 7-11, a liquor store and restaurant are within walking distance.
The airport shuttle was reliable with an awesome driver. The vehicle being used is a Mercedes shuttle bus with leather interior that is VIP. I recommend the hotel put some marking or signage that lets people know it’s a Quality Inn shuttle because this vehicle far exceeds expectations and could create confusion and/or suspicion for solo travelers.
Everyone I interacted with on the staff was friendly, helpful and pleasant. It was perfect. Great job!!

Low-Quality Inn
Kind of a Low-Quality Inn, even for an airport hotel, if you ask me!
The staff did their best to be helpful, and the bed was quite comfortable.
But this is a loooong way from a luxury or even business class hotel.

An excellent place
I will say that the Quality Inn is such a pleasant surprise and a great place to stay after a long flight.
It is spotless and the service and management is top notch. We stay in hotels frequently and this one? All I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH!
