Where do I start, ok, the checkin, where I’m abruptly told ‘oh, we didn’t know you were bringing a dog’ - I say ‘well you did as I added it to the booking’ - ‘oh, yes the note, well we don’t read those’ - how is that even my fault. So I’m then told I’ll have to wait to see if a different room is available. Then comes the £25 per night charge. Parking, well let’s just say that’s not a real option, did you book she asks. No, it doesn’t say I have to, oh well, she says, it’s full you’ll have to use the NCP. I explained that I tried to call reception on arrival, I was told ‘we aren’t allowed to answer the phones during checkin times’ - let’s face it, that’s probably the most important time to answer the phone for people lost or needing help! Now to the room, windows don’t open, room roasting hot, aircon is just an ornament, not an operating function. The dog passport is more finger wagging than tail wagging friendliness.
Location is great, but service was just appalling.
