Decent hotel. Clean and nice staff. Lovely breakfast. Hotel is well situated with lots of transport links and shopping choices.

hotel guest awareness
I arrived to London to attend an early morning meeting. I had been working late the night before so I only had 3 hours of sleep.
Th meeting was canceled so I tried to check into the hotel around 9:00.
Of course my room was not available, which was not an issue.
But when I inquired as to when I should return, I was told that it could not be determined and that I should just come after the 3 pm check in.
There was no offer to try and check me in earlier.
After waiting for 4 hours, I tried to inquire again to see if my room was available. It should be noted that I fell asleep in the bar while I was waiting and was woken up by the staff.
Again, I was told that my room was not available and that they were unable to tell me when I should return.
Within the next 30 minutes, between 25-30 guests arrived to check in. (still before the 3pm check-in).
The majority were flight crew and attendants.
They were all checked in without delay.
I returned once they had left reception and again was told that I could not check in until after 3pm.
It is disappointing but not unexpected that large hotel chains treat their infrequent quests differently.
Which is why I stay in small boutique hotels. they care about all their guests.
It should be noted that I was a diamond member at Hilton in the past.
