Had 2 nights booked. Room first night unsatisfactory… small, outdated, goofy shower, light from hotel hallway, came thru door all night! However, we asked for an upgrade for night 2, & staff was very helpful, we even got upgraded to a beautiful junior suite, no extra charges!

Lovely Stay
Girlfriend and I went to visit a friend who is staying nextdoor at the assisted living place. Walked in and everything was so historically beautiful. Room was very comfortable with comfortable sheets and matttress. Before going to bed for the night, we went to the bar....friendly bartender and a very quaint room filled with friendly people. To top it off a deliscous fresh breakfast and coffe in a lovely resturant with beautiful piano music. A lovely stay, and will book there again. ;)

Hotel Majestic is very good value. It was probably once a pretty grand place, but its a bit worn these days. Our room, however, was very nice. Large and clean. But, no special amenities, i.e. no coffee maker in the room. They do offer a very nice buffet breakfast every morning. For an affordable stay, I would recommend it.

Dated, but safe.
Hotel was safe and room was clean. The stairs/hallways could use a little attention. The place is not modern, but had a portable AC and a fridge in the room. Keurig in the lobby, mainly flavored coffees. Nice to have breakfast offered which was fine. I couldn't hear folks in other rooms, but could hear the folks upstairs walking around. Bed frame was older so felt a little delicate.

Historic Hotel Near Japantown
I’ve been staying here for years since it is across the street from a building that a go to once per month for work. I love the staff, the room, and the lounge. It is vintage and a little quirky. It is perfect for me. I wish I lived there!

Quaint & Charming Hotel
The hotel was very charming and quaint. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The rooms had nice character and were very clean and in great condition and decor. Only issues was the beds were too firm for our liking, so we did not sleep as well as we would have liked.

Comfortable and Good Location.
I am one of those strange people who like flatter pillows and the bed was so comfortable. The first time I actually slept on the first night at my stay in a hotel room. Generally I have trouble. The bathtub was the standing kind which made washing feel so classy. The whole room was classic including the furniture. The staff was very friendly including the maids. Having the free breakfast was excellent, especially the waffles. The location was nice two, about a five minute walk from Japantown. I even walked back from the War Memorial Opera House and depending on which way you go it can take less time than what Google Map says. That can be helpful for when traffic is busy which it was around that particular area. The few issues I had was that it was very dusty under and around the bed and the two dressers on each side. Sadly the fireplace is only for looks. One of the bed dressers was wobbly and the lamp almost smacked me in the head. Placing the lamp in the center helped to stabilize it at least. Also, wear earplugs because if you get a corner room you will have traffic going through on all sides. Not much sound proofing either if someone is thumping around above you. Almost all the furniture had damage done in some way or another. Knobs removed, chips on corners, but that wasn't a big deal.

Grand Dame hotel might be slipping
I love the Majestic and have been staying here for years. It is not fancy or modern, but the location is great and it has a timeless elegance. Also has one of the best bartenders in the city. I worry, however that the hotel condition is slipping. My room was perfectly nice, but I could not get over the fact that a leaky window frame had been "fixed" with hideous gray duct tape. Duct tape? Really?
