First time in London and this was a great location. We wanted to go see the museums, the tower bridge, palaces, a west end show, and this provided a great spot to start from, being just a couple of minutes from 2 tube stations (Gloucester Rd and South Kensington) that made travel all of the city extremely easy.
I really liked all of the food options available just walking down the road as all of the areas around South Kensington station were packed with options. It was also amazing that the Natural History Museum and the V & A were around the corner.
We greatly appreciated being able to turn south out of the hotel and also wander through gorgeous neighborhoods and quickly ditch the busier areas (not crowded, just alive.)
My only cons were that the bed was not very comfortable, and the shower head rotated while in operation and ended up soaking a good portion of the floor on our first night because there's only a really short wall to keep the splash controlled. If the floor had a drain, I wouldn't be as worried, but instead we went through a stack of towels real quick. The staff was friendly and quick with replacements though.
Definitely not a large room, but it worked for us who were mostly there to sleep and maybe take a nap in the middle of the day.
