It’s an amazing place, it has everything you can expect and a view on the ocean. The room is large and well furnished. The location is great because not that far from Hilo and to visit the main attractions (hakalaka falls, rainbow falls, volcanoes NP…). The only issue was the noise from the frogs during the night, it seems it was the mating season.

The room was nestled in the rainforest, offering a beautiful environment. A group of friendly cats greeted us at the entrance. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there was also a laundry room. At night, we could hear the calls of coqui frogs outside the window, making us feel very close to nature. The location was very close to Akaka State Park, making it easy to visit the waterfalls. We truly wish we could have stayed a few more days.

If you’re a cat lover or simply looking for a cozy and hospitable place to stay, I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for making my stay so special! ps: My husband is allergic to cat hair, so I was quite concerned about his allergies before our stay. We even brought allergy medication with us. However, in reality, the room, including the bedding and towels, was very clean. My husband experienced no discomfort during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

CATS, CATS & MORE CATS. Counted at least seven and likely more. If you are allergic to cats you will suffer as other guests are letting them in the rooms. They are everywhere, large (>20 pounds) and very aggressive. They jump on your lap if you are in the outdoor recliner and if you open a plastic bag they rush you expecting a treat. Had to sleep in the car the second night due to allergies.

Spectacular property! Owners gave us so many helpful tips and advice for the things we had planned and restaurants to go. The cats were SUCH a delight and the views and ambience of the place are amazing.
