The room is clean and spacious, however we are very disappointed that the staff were not attentive and the pub was understaff in the morning. We were waiting for almost 30 minutes to order and there was only one waiteress serving. We couldn’t be bothered and had breakfast somewhere else.

Room was very cold when we arrived, tried to put heating on in room but failed. Went to reception they had to put on. Room just won't get warm. Bed was cold and uninviting. Made my partner feel ill due to cold, left hotel and found another to stay. I won't stay there again used to be a lovely warm and friendly hotel...no more

Very reasonable price & comfortable stay
Liked the stay. Rooms are large with high ceiling. Everything perfect. Some front rooms smells damp. Probably I recommend staying in back rooms

Great stay!
Really nice stay at St Paul’s over New Years. Spacious room, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Only negative was the breakfast was very slow to come out, about 45 min - 1 hour wait for a granola and yogurt bowl. Very nice hotel but would recommend to get breakfast at local cafes instead.

Worth a visit
Great location. Large stylish bar with great choice of drinks and the bar snacks were delicious. Breakfast good but very slow. Decent sized room, comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again and also visit for an afternoon/evening meal/drink

Overnight stay
Hotel itself is good and convenient for central Birmingham with the tram stop just around the corner. Room comfortable. Couple of niggles that could make it better. We only had 1 towel and no hairdryer and despite asking twice still didn't receive these. Was told when we left that hairdriers were broken and they didn't know where housekeeping kept the towels. We were offered a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience but had just left the restaurant and had already paid for breakfast. No refund was offered. Food was good. Had a meal there on Saturday which was very good. Breakfast was also good quality but little things could have been better. Had to ask for butter to go with toast. There was nowhere to put rubbish and teabags at drinks station. No plates for pastries, fruit had run out and not replced, milk had run out and not replaced had to keep asking for things to be refilled, staff need to be more attentive to breakfast buffet area. Overall stay was pleasant enough, and I would stay again despite the small niggles.
