I recently stayed at Barcelona Budapest and unfortunately had a frustrating experience at check-in. I arrived 30 minutes early and was asked to pay 10 euros to check in early, which I declined. The staff proceeded to check me in but asked me to wait in the lobby for those 30 minutes.
When the official check-in time arrived, I was told to return to the long line for my room key, which was very inconvenient and not what I expected. Communication could have been much better, and it felt unprofessional.
While the hotel itself has potential, I hope they address these service issues for a better guest experience in future.
