Comfortable and Safe Space Near North Cascade NP

This is in proximity to North Cascades National Park. The room is large,clean, and comfortable located in a small historic town. Midweek dining options are limited, but there is a bar across the street which serves pub fare. We would recommend this place for sure.

Attention to detail

Nice hotel in a very small town. Cute building and cute room. Nicely decorated and looks renovated recently. Cool shower setup. Very clean and nice fluffy towels. Manager contacted me about picking up the keys and checked to make sure everything was all set. They even gave me a heads up about limited so I g options if you come into town late. There was a book in the room that answered any and every question you might have. There was a lot of attention to details and you can tell the management takes pride in their property. Went to the Cascades Burger stand and had an awesome burger and shake. Concrete is kind of a tip. Looks like a town out of a movie . Love big concrete tower as you come into town. The Hub is good for breakfast. I would emphatically recommend this hotel. It was spic and span clean and a n excellent value for you money.

I must preface this review by saying that due to a mistake with booking on our part of not realizing that we were booking a stay at the incorrect hotel, we cannot speak for the clanliness, property, conditon or otherwise, as we didn't stay at the hotel. However, minutes after we discovered our error in reservations, we contacted Expedia to see if the property owner or manager would grant a refund. Expedia customer service was very helpful in trying to mitigate the problem but the hotel management refused a refund. Once again, I understand that the booking mistake was made by us, and knowing that there is a "no refund" policy when booking through Expedia, the owner or manager can make the decision to make the refund anyway. Had the person in charge at the Hotel, refunded our money, I would be leaving a glowing review and would most definitely make a point to stay at their hotel the next time we are in the area. However, that didn't happen. The 'letter of the law" was followed and we were charged for a night that we didn't stay, due to a simple mistake. I realize that the management was under no obligation to make the refund, but I also understand that it is sometimes in the best interest of a business to err on the side of customer service in order to promote good relations with the public and garner good reviews and referrals, which is exactly what they would have been getting had they done so.

Thumbs up to Mt. Baker Hotel

Our second time staying here for a fishing trip. Super helpful and friendly staff. Very short walk to all shops and restaurants. We will be back.

Overall great place to stay. The hub across the street is amazing and the locals are very friendly! The owners of the hotel are so great. The only complaint is the sump pump in the basement going off every 3-5 minutes throughout the whole night. The owners offered me a new room and were very fast with responding!

The owner checked us in and was absolutely amazing! He was super friendly and very informative. The room was very spacious with the living room, bedroom and bathroom all separated. My only complaint was that the bed in Hog Heaven was so squeaky and loud that it made for a bit-so-restful night of sleep. The mattress was a bit sunken as well so we both ended up with sore backs in the morning. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay in a cute town. Thanks!sleepwamake the bed
