8/10 Very good

On the good side, great towels and a Keurig coffee maker. On the negative side, There were no comfortable chairs in the room. They were great in communication. It was well worth the money.

Clean room , close to hospital , and quiet for sleep. Would stay again

8/10 Very good

Excellent proximity to cross-country skiing on Lake Flower (across the street) and a rail trail (behind the property). Also within easy walking distance of restaurants.

An older property, but clean and comfortable. Also Lake Flower is right across the road so pretty ... and easy access to local restaurants. Nice location providing access to hiking, boating activities.

Yes the property may be outdated, but was a clean and convenient location to stay for a place to sleep. Would stay again.

Good Stay

It was a great few night stay in Saranac, centrally located and very close to Olympic Village. Jacuzzi suite was great and relaxing after being in the elements all day! Bed was comfy
Kevin, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The property was very close to downtown Saranac Lake and the ADK Rail Trail. Plus right across the street from Lake Flower and only abotut 8miles to Lake Placid. It wasn't fancy, but was clean, comfortable, one floor and served our purpose perfectly! Check in was a breeze. We will be definitely be back to stay and bike the Rail Trail again.

8/10 Very good

Property was a little dated looking, but the room was very comfy, clean and quite spacious. Looks like they are doing renovations so I’m sure it’ll get a good update. I’d stay here again.
Pete, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The caretaker/owner took personal care for our comfort. The room was well appointed and had reliable heating and hot water, and had great wifi and cable TV. Excellent location for shopping and dining and across the way from the main lake in town. Sure beats the overpriced lodging in Lake Placid!
James, 2-night trip

A nice surprise

Near the water and beautiful views. Ductless AC. Nice towels. Good water pressure. Comfortable bed. A nice surprise.
Deanna, 1-night trip

Door was locked and code given for lock was incorrect. Had to wait for help Sink was leaking and carpet was getting wet so we placed trash can underneath leak Dirty windows and little pond out front

8/10 Very good

I only stayed one night and the place served the purpose. Dated but clean. Priced fairly. Convenient check-in and check-out. Refrigerator, microwave and keurig coffee maker in the room was a plus.
Christof, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Booked the Sara Placid Inn & Suites because not as touristy or high brow as Lake Placid. Delighted to discover kayak, paddle, life vest & Propane BBQ are complimentary! Walking/biking trail runs behind the property, adjacent to a lily filled pond and across the street from Lake Flower. The BEST Suite is #18 (steps up to 2nd floor) with a forest view outside the living room picture window. Hardwood floors, Two Queen bedrooms, one with skylight and desk, a kitchen flowing into living and sit-down dining room (granite countertop with seats separate kitchen area), full size refrigerator and stove, well arranged shower-bathtub, all very clean with the fluffiest towels. More like a mini-vacation flat than a motel room. Check-in & out via phone text, So Easy. Hosts respond quickly. Very friendly. Walk into town can include Mountain Mist Ice Cream stop (famous) and Fusion Market beverage stop. Took a side path through Pine Ridge Cemetery, crossing river bridges to the far side of town and Bitters and Bones for a terraced lunch. Sourdough bakery across the street. Stopped by Nori’s Cafe and Organic Food Coop on the trip back. So many music venues in town. The BEST STAY in the area for value, luxury of kitchen & kayak and beauty!
Lydia, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Close to busy road but view on the lake. Room was spacious, clean and renovated. Bathroom was clean but is very outdated. Outdated furniture mixed matched with new pieces. Ok for one night but should not be listed as a three stars hotel.
Corinne, 1-night trip

The future of the motels?

Good value for the price. The beds were comfortable and the room was equipped as it should. But there is nobody at the reception. All the check in and check out were made via email. We did not meet anybody. It seems that's the future .. Not sure we go in the good way.
Pierre, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room was very clean but dated. The bathroom did have tape by the shower on the wall covering something. Took a little bit to get hot water but once I got it was hot.
Tabitha, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

ill be back

Really appreciated the tidy room, the outfitting of the kitchenette. Just a nice clean quiet place to stay at a good price. Only issue since you asked, lack of eco-friendly, the single use bath soap bottles and the over packaged coffee stuff instead of a dispenser for shampoo and soap and single packages of creamer, sugar and plastic stirrer but thats it. Really good place to stay if you like things simple and inexpensive. Ill be back, thank you!
