A place to sleep at. This is a room in a shared house. The room beard no resemblance to the picture on the site. You cannot gain access to your booked and paid for room until you have paid 15 pounds extra (for cleaning). I was literally made to stand in the rain while speaking to the person who is supposed to give me access to the room on the phone.I was literally bullied into either paying or just walk away. Despite the fact that I have paid for the room and it clearly states this. (You can only use certain toilets. I was reminded of this at 2 in the morning when I was using the shared facility. I personally would not recommend this place. Unless really desperate. Expedia does not mention the extra 15 pounds on their confirmation. This is misleading and really unprofessional.

why is it advertised as a hotel its a hostel well basically its a house with a few changes and they con you with the cleani g deposit after you pay they say its none refundable then they charge you 15 for ckeaning for the same price i could have stayed in a proper hotel the parking is on the street if your lucky enough to get a spot

My 2 nights at Union House
For the rate I was given - plus an unexpected £15 for the cleaner!! - for 2 nights one shouldn't expect a lot. It's fine for a single person travelling who's happy with 'the basics'. However, be warned! There isn't a member of staff on the premises. I was lucky. As I was leaving to look for an Internet Café to contact Expedia, one of the guests/residents came back. He called the owner and let me in to speak to him (the owner). I could easily have been without accommodation on 'Bank Holiday Friday'! #### EXPEDIA: If you want a full review, please contact me.
