Family trip to Monument Valley
Enjoyed stay. Loved the screening of John Ford/John Wayne movies shot in Monument Valley. Including the cabin John Wayne stayed on the property during movie shoots. Enjoyed swimming in the heated pool when it was 5 degrees F outside.

Location with a view
Awesome view of Momiment Valley and nice salute to John Wayne! Room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony view of Moniment Valley. Restaurant (breakfast) service was outstanding and friendly with portions too big for us to eat.

Great trip, awesome accommodations
My husband and I retired to Flagstaff and have been gradually getting to explore the area. We had a few days available and decided to go to Monument Valley, which we have driven through. Friends have stayed at the View, and while enthusiastic about their tours, said the food was terrible. So we chose Gouldings and so glad we did! Tour guide Henry was awesome, facility was wonderful, good delicious and even though it was cold, I am so glad we made the trip. Will recommend this resort to many friends.

BRING YOUR OWN SPACE HEATERS TO THIS PLACE!!!
I brought my octogenarian parents to Monument Valley for a bucket list trip. We checked in and turned on the heat but it didn't get warm. It was 17F outside. I called down to reception and they sent someone and they fiddled around with the heater but no luck. We attempted to wear all of our coats and brought in blankets from out car but it was freezing. I called down again around 4 a.m. and was told I could be moved to a villa (one-bedroom) from our two-bedroom unit but I couldn't risk moving my folks in the dark (my dad has Alzheimer's and dementia) so they sent more blankets. I was told propane had run out and realized we also had no hot water. Propane was delivered around 6:30 a.m. and hot water returned but the heat never worked! I have MS so being cold is a deal breaker and two days later I am still suffering. I let the front desk know we could not stay under these conditions and we left around 8 a.m. No one offered to help us relocate to the other room which might have made a difference. What a nightmare and I am so very disappointed. And if you're wondering why they didn't offer to bring in a few space heaters as I suggested, according to the staff, the new owners apparently removed these as an option. Given my parents' ages and conditions, I don't think I'll be able to fulfill this bucket list item for them. I am incredibly disappointed in this place!

Great views over monument valley
Admittedly not many places to stay nearby but a great spot with brilliant views over Monument Valley, we loved watching the sun rise over the buttes! Restaurant classic Navajo fare, small supermarket on site was helpful

Awesome location in Monument valley. Watching the sunrise from the balcony was an unexpected bonus. Very nice staff. One warning- everything closes fairly early (around 8) We got in about 8:30 and the restaurant, market and gas station were all closed already.
