Even though parts of the hotel is under construction and other parts are a little run down, this is a relaxing spot for families at a great cost. Customer services is great and the view is amazing. Very close for a walk outside the hotel with shops and restaurants to visit.

We found that during our one-week stay at Sunscape, there were positives and negatives, as follows: Positive: • Friendly and helpful staff • Alcohol was of good quality and quantity • The pool was clean and a good temperature • Easy beach access was nice Negative: • Our room was right above the smoking area and too often we had to close our balcony door to avoid smoke • Our room was right above the outdoor nightly movie venue, and it was so loud, we could not hear ourselves speak without closing the balcony door • In general, there was too much noise, including unsupervised youths in the hallways late at night • The food was for the most part bland, and too often only warm instead of hot. The best food was in the Italian restaurant. • Our room was dated and somewhat shabby • There appeared to be no enforcement of any of the resort’s regulations (other than out of the pool at 7:00 p.m.) • The smell of the cleaning solution used by housekeeping was very strong and unpleasant in the hallway

Yes. The Room needed repairs. Bathroom half glass door was missing. Staff always cross examined even for want of towels or water botels. Dinner timings were upto 11 pm but at about 10.20 pm daily you hardly find anything on buffet tables. After 10.00 p.m. they never bothered to fill the buffett items. Vegetarian dishes were not avialable.

Overall, we had a nice stay at Sunscape but it left some things to be desired. The rooms are very outdated and missing simple things like towel hooks in the bathroom. So you have to hang your towels over chairs or your luggage in the room. The food was average but good. Use caution during breakfast in the main dining restaurant if you are seated close to the beach. There are bees everywhere and the hotel doesn't appear to be doing anything to control it. We had to be moved to a different table multiple mornings and even left breakfast early one day because the second table still had bee problems. If you have anything sweet to eat or drink then the bees are attracted to it. It's not 1 or 2 bees. We had at least a dozen or more swarming our table one morning. We complained to the staff multiple times but it was shrugged off as normal. I tried raising the problem to a supervisor, but they weren't at work. Nothing was done to fix the issue during the five days we were there. The property was clean and the 24/7 cafe was nice. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't feel like we got the most of our money with this property compared to other resorts we've been to especially considering what we paid. If you don't have high expectations and just looking for a smaller resort to relax, then Sunscape is a pretty good option.

Good drinks , terrible food. Staff is very friendly. Property fairly clean. Pool was way too over crowded. Definitely not relaxing and no beach palapa available any day . Not even any chairs outside available ever . Not one time did we get a chair or table on the beach

This resort is in a great location and was kept very clean throughout our stay. It is an older property and could benefit from some updates, but as it stands, it is well maintained. The food quality was average, but there was enough variety to find something enjoyable at each meal. What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff. No matter where we were on the property, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—something we’ve only experienced elsewhere in Mexico when tipping heavily. Here, the service was consistently outstanding without that expectation. Overall, a pleasant stay with incredible staff that made the experience memorable.

This place looks great on paper but left us scrambling to see if we could find a new place day after we checked in. The air conditioning in our room war broken and consulted hotel maintenance about it twice, but they still were unable to fix it or move us to a new room or find a fan so we just had to deal. The toilet was cracked at the bottom leaking water all over the floor. The safe was broken and inoperable. There are swarms of bees in the oursode dining area causing fear with my children as they were surrounded by 39 bees when eating breakfast. I think they misplace must have been much nicer in the past but has fallen I sto massive disrepair and was not worth the 525/night we paid at Christmas time for a it . It’s a Hyatt affiliated property but honestly evens. Motel 6 would have been an upgrade. Please think twice before booking.

Staff tried to scam us with extra charges even though we booked through Expedia saying one child needed to pay more. After 2 hrs arguing back and forth and showing them they had charged the older child as an adult already with the airline and hotel, they agreed otherwise we were told to pay up front or we couldn’t check in. The lady at front even said manager wasn’t available to speak, yet she came out chilling and when asked to speak with her, she agreed to help. Later, they apologized but it was all a set up to scam us. We booked the sun club which they didn’t provide at check in. Later they ran up to us saying they messed up and changed our membership. Cleanliness wise, the toilet wouldn’t flush, the shower hose was broken. They promptly fixed though. The sheets had stains, buffet food was okay. Being next to the ocean and enjoying the sand and weather is a pro about this place.

Service in the beginning was bad. They charge me almost $900 dlrs for 1 person. Didn’t honored the 200 per room credit. Never received it. Never asked me about it. They told me that when booking I need to specified what I want meaning rooms together if I order an additional room. One of the rooms was another building apart from each other. Never had this experience with any hotel that I’ve been at. I have never complained about any hotels, but this is a very bad experience. I literally paid for another room with those $900 very disappointed.

El hotel deja mucho que desear por ser Hyatt y no estar a la altura, pagamos all inclusive y la comida de muy mala calidad, muy mal preparada, ni el arroz pudieron hacer bien. El servicio bueno por parte de los meseros, pero muy mal organizado por los hostess que asignan mesas y limitan el acceso a los restaurantes a niños. Solo 2 restaurantes malos donde pueden comer las familias. El hotel es viejo mal restaurado, la playa con mucha piedra, las actividades del hotel bien organizadas pero con poco espacio para el desarrollo de las mismas. En general bien a secas con ganas de que fuera mejor. Cambien a lo encargados de cocina y la organización de los restaurantes. La bebidas muy chafas y de muy baja calidad.

Great facility and extremely friendly helpful staff. My only complaint is that the elevators were slow and they were working on a third elevator bay. The sleeper sofa also doesn’t pull out into a bed, but we did just fine and had an amazing time. This hotel is in the hotel zone, which means you’ll have to uber to the Romantic Zone for most sites and tours. It’s best for families, if you’re a couple traveling I would stay closer to the Romantic Zone.
