A lovely place to stay
We loved the bigger room (Whiskey) for a little extra space. The room was nicely decorated and the fireplace added a cozy touch. What we were most impressed about was the service we got when one of lamps was missing the light bulb. The lamp itself actually didn't work so they tracked down a replacement lamp for us. That was definitely going above and beyond. The ice and water in the fridge was also helpful. Lastly, the breakfast voucher worked well and it was nice to get what we wanted. I would definitely recommend the Fiddler's Inn.

Carlsbad visit
Except for check in confusion, this place is a little gem . There is no reception desk and I didn’t receive any check in info prior to arrival but once we made contact, everything was a breeze. The room was adorable - quaint and comfy. Breakfast is next door at the blue house cafe (you get a voucher) and this is a happening and fun bakery cafe. This is an anti- chain type of place but I give it high marks and would stay again!

B&B gets C&C Grade
It wasn't for me. There are different expectations for B&Bs. If you are desiring charm and contact with fellow guests, this is not the right place. Sure, there was a text before your arrival, and frilly decor. The best B&Bs, IMO, are the ones where you can interact with the host and other guests. There were some things that didn't work in the room, like one of the USB ports on my wife's side of the bed. But texting for assistance or reporting issues is just awkward in this setting. The breakfast was delicious, but it's at a popular bakery. So, you are competing with a crowd. It's not really the peaceful atmosphere to start your day. It was a convenient walk to all we needed. So, charmless and convenient gives it a Grade C. This was our choice for our 29th wedding anniversary. So, it was a pleasant enough stay, but also disappointing.

What an adorable property! Huge, elegant, and comfortable bed. Fun decoration and treats around the room to find. Parking right at my door. Received a $10 gift card usable at a great tiny cafe a couple houses down the tree-lined street. I wish I could have stayed here longer!

Quiet B&B in Carlsbad
Cute B&B in Carlsbad, 2 min walk to grocery store which was convenient. Also a block away from very cute cafe for breakfast with good options and fresh pastries, which the Fiddler's Inn gives you a breakfast credit for that covers enough for a breakfast for 2 people. Comfortable beds, all the amenities travelers might need with the charm of staying at someone's home. Easy parking and responsive staff. We had a nice one night stay.

Charming Cottage
We were on the area to see Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The room was very quaint and comfortable, except for the sitting chairs. We especially liked the little breakfast shop that came with staying here. The food and coffee were outstanding. It was packed with townspeople. We also enjoyed the restaurant that was recommended in a little guest book in the room.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at Fiddler’s Inn. We appreciated the darling, comfortable atmosphere and amenities. We’ll likely be returning when we visit Carlsbad in the future. The improvements I’d like to see in Orange Blossom would be removal of the worn carpeting, an updated King mattress, replacement of the bathtub, grab bars in the tub area and a higher mounted shower head. Overall, a gem to be able to lay one’s head while visiting Carlsbad.

Cute little B&B
This is an old house converted to a B&B. There is no one on site and access instructions are sent via text. When we arrived there was someone already in the room and we scared the heck out of them trying to open the door. i called the number on the door and Jennifer was very apologetic, getting us an alternate room for the night. The room was very clean, definitely not your standard chain hotel room. The only parking is on the street, but we had no problems with parking. Overall not bad at all.

Me and my husband drove up to Carlsbad to hike McKittrick Canyon and see the leaves changing. We decided to stay here because it just looked so inviting. We were not disappointed at all. We had a great stay and enjoyed the amenities.

Loved our stay here in the Sailor’s Hornpipe. The room is below ground so super quiet. We enjoyed hanging out in the courtyard although a bit noisy. Although we loved the room itself the overall property looked a little tired. Seems like a little attention could make a huge difference.

I'm so glad we booked Fiddler's Inn! We had the Sailor's Hornpipe room and it was wonderfully cozy but not too small. The room is down a set of stairs and there's plenty of room for two suitcases near the front door so you don't need to walk everything down. The bed was comfortable and the welcome cookies were delicious! Easy safe parking right outside on the street. The bakery where you get the breakfast coupon was half a block away and had plenty of options. We spent a little bit more than the amount you're given but we decided to splurge a bit. Would stay again!!
