Missing jewelry after leaving here. No one is answering or returning my calls. They only took 1 earring from two different sets. I’ve seen other reviews saying the same thing, “only took 1 items and not whole set”.

Hotel is very old. My sheets had stains on them. I truly feel a little update to the rooms will take this hotel to the next level. Customer service was very good and helpful

i was presently surprise with the St Lauren. The views were lovely from the decks and the rooms have been upgraded from what I remembered. The price was the most reasonable for Avalon. Will be back but you should offer to pick up at the Mole.

The room was a good size but the building was older. The bathroom could use an upgrade. For the price we paid per night it would be nice to have a coffee maker and fridge in the room. Definitely over priced with no amenities other than coffee in the lobby (unfortunately we booked at the last minute).

The gas golf carts drive by throughout the day and late into the evening. We had a room on the distant ocean view side which was nice and basic. No fridge, just a bed and nice bath with large shower. We didn’t spend much time there as we were down on the boardwalk. Great view from 6th floor patio deck ! Clean, basic..

DO NOT STAY HERE particularly if you are given room 101 or 102. I have never written a review for anything before but it was so noisy I did not sleep for more than an hour throughout the night. First it was drunk visitors talking in the lobby which was directly outside the room until 4 in the morning and then I could hear every word the staff was saying starting at 6am. I was on a quick trip visiting Catalina to check out additional hotel options for my upcoming wedding and this will be the only hotel I add to my website as an absolute DO NOT STAY to make sure no one has to go through that. I’m aware we were probably given their worst rooms but the fact they rent them out to people for $400 a night is terrible. They will also not store your luggage for you if your boat leaves later than your checkout.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel St Lauren. The location was super convenient and we loved having a little balcony to go out on and enjoy the view. Don’t listen to the bad reviews. It’s a great value for the price!!!!!

Hotel is super cute but a little outdated, mainly the bathrooms and lamp shades in the hotel room (a small detail I know but still affects the vibe. It's such a simple fix why not update the late 80's lampshades? Lol). Hotel is old which is part of the charm, but walls were paper thin, I could hear the woman in the room next to us coughing all night. Felt like she was in our room. Lastly, they don't let you store your bags after checkout. I've stayed in dozens of Catalina hotels and this is the only place that does this. All of these things aside, the room was clean, cute and had absolutely amazing views if you have a room with a balcony, which makes up for the cons. Location is good, but slightly up hill, so definitely a bit of a hike to get to with all your bags if you're walking, but still in town (about a 3 min walk from the boardwalk). Would stay again for the views.
