Do not recommend.
Light switches didn’t all work so it was hard to plug things in. Shower head didn’t work. Only positive thing is the bed was some what comfortable. The staff was very friendly.

Was not pleased with the stay very unprofessional and not a great experience also heater and fridge didn’t work so we were freezing in the room all night and our drinks and food never got cold. The door had gaps and was allowing cold air to get in making the room even colder while we can hear every car that pulled up and every door slam shut. Tons of dead bugs and card would stop working and had to keep going to the front where they did not do anything but clean it and say try again. Also the foundation is very out dated we left a day early because it was that bad and would much rather sleep in our car instead of staying another night, at least our car has heat but i will never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone was honestly a waist of money

Typically it’s an average hotel that is fairly clean. I usually stay here when visiting family. I got a nonsmoking room, our blankets had cigarette holes, and the room smelled like cigarettes. It’s not usually like this and we let the lady know at the front desk. She mentioned that sometimes the rooms above the smoking rooms smell like this but it still did not explain all the cigarette holes in the blankets. I’ll be requesting a room that is not above a smoking room next time if we stay here.

The room was fine.It was clean and had no odor (yay!) There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. I typically don't like to stay at a hotel that has outside entrance to the room. However, we were on the first level and parked our car in front of our rooms door. I have to say that it was rather convenient I probably wouldn't go back, I like nicer hotels. But this was only for 1 night, so it was perfectly fine for that..

This place needs a good cleaning an maitenance. Toilet wasnt bolted down towel rack was falling off the wall sink drained slow shower valve leaked. might be ok for a single guy passing throught but i wouldnt bring my family there.

I have stayed at econo lodge in Rocky top for many years now. It’s an older hotel that could definitely use a facelift and time and again sketchy people will stay here. It’s not the Hilton by any means. What I like about this hotel is that it is budget friendly. The place may be old but it’s always been clean and I’ve never seen a bug of any kind. The beds are somewhat comfortable and there’s a pool. They serve cereal and bagels for breakfast. It’s super basic but if you are like our family then you wouldn’t be at the hotel much anyway and it would be just a place to lay down at night. The staff has always been friendly and I’ve never had problems checking in or out with the correct bill paid and no questions asked. I’m not sure what you are looking for or what your expectations are. It’s not a hotel I’d walk bare foot on the carpet and if you’re looking for every crook and cranny like you would look at the Hilton then I suggest you find another place to stay. This is a cheap hotel that you can lay your head down at night. The owners are on top of it here too. If your thinking you are gonna party all night and keep people up doing drugs, or drinking then plan to get kicked out because they have a no tolerance policy. This is the other reason that I like this hotel. It’s a two star hotel that I rate at least 4 stars because they have all that my family needed here.
