Rooms were old, and the bathroom was in terrible state. Rusty showers and not very clean towels

It was in a convenient location and very secure. However the rooms and bathrooms especially, are old and could have been cleaner. The remotes where grimy and there was a musty smell in the room when I checked in possibly from old pipes and stagnant water.

unimpressive
I was not impressed from checking to check out, looks old and not properly managed,
And the house keeping man kept on coming to ask me when am I checking out from 7am to 11:30am

Port Harcourt short stay
Hotel needs some upgrading which is ongoing. Air con was not working effectively and quite a lot of mosquitos hanging around in corridors. Security is good and staff were all helpful.

Very old and outdated
Terrible beds, slow and poor selections at Resturant, terrible beds and lacking gym.
Very over priced for value. Not at all up to Golden Tulip standards.
Most staff was helpful and friendly.

Decent
Compared to other hotels in Nigeria, Golden Tulip Port Harcourt is reasonable. The rooms are spacious and the reception staff friendly and helpful. I was initially booked in a room close to the noisy reception, but promptly moved to a quiet room when I brought this to the attention of the manager on duty. Bathroom was adequate, and no problems with hot water. The only complaint is that the bed is rock hard and very uncomfortable.

My Worst nightmare...
Its the most Annoying Stay i have ever had in that town called Port harcourt. first of all the Hotel embarrassed the life out of me that they know nothing about hotels.com. i further explained that its a part of Expedia but all to no avail.
they kept me out there for over 2 Hours and later let me in. Woke me up the next Morning just to tell that their marketing Manager says they have nothing to do with Hotels.com hence i should ensure my bill is fully paid before check out.
I had to call Hotels.com who now confirmed to them after 45Minutes of waiting at the Checkout Counter.
The rooms have some dap kind of odor. The Superior room"So-Called" is like a box to me. The Ringtone in the Hotel room has an annoying ringtone that would make you jump off your bed!!!
i will not recommend anyone to stay in this Hotel.
