This hotel is very comfortable, but the biggest attraction is being close to a Shanghai Huawei research facility - based on my conversations with co-workers, there are only two reasonable hotels in the area, and we ALL stay at this one.
The area around the hotel is limited - not many choices for restaurants or shopping. The hotel is near at least one subway station (Gutang Road), but that's true of pretty much any hotel I've stayed at in China, so not much of a draw.
I did have problems communicating with a receptionist at check-in, but I'm willing to believe I wasn't speaking slowly or clearly enough. I thought my entry card wasn't working (the lock indicator light barely turned green, and I was pulling on the floor handle but the door pushed to open!)
