New years get away
Everything was great except there was no drinking glasses , the cable tv wasn’t working the entire time so we missed the football game and the New Year’s Eve countdown. I also noticed a lot of dust on the ceiling fan, fireplace plates and the carpet could use a good cleaning. None of this was major except the tv issue. Lovely people and beautiful experience. The cabin is cozy and quaint and I loved sitting in the outdoor hot tub in the snow watching deer stroll through the yard.

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. we stayed in a Cabin that had a private hot tub. It was amazing! The morning breakfast was delicious!! we will definitely will be staying there again!!!

Very clean, very quiet, very friendly staff. First trip over to Winthrop and we came over for the Great Outdoor Hockey Tournament. What a great little town and very convenient distance to the rink.

Cleanliness issues
We were only at Chewuch for a single night. My husband and I were traveling with my sister and brother in law hiking throughout Washington. Each couple had a separate room. Pros: front office lady (didn’t get her name) was so sweet and helpful when we told her our issues and immediately tried to fix the problems. Breakfast was really good! Great coffee, homemade scones/cakes/muffins. There was a common room that was open all night with games/puzzles/books. Our foursome played games there in the evening. Cons: our room was tiny. There wasn’t room to put our luggage anywhere except in front of the door and I worry that would be a problem if there was a fire or something like that. We did not have a small refrigerator in our room. When we arrived at our room, I went to use the bathroom and unfortunately someone else had already used it and didn’t flush. It wasn’t #1 either. That immediately told me that the room hadn’t been cleaned. We checked the sheets and there was also evidence that they had been used. The sweet front office lady came and cleaned and changed the sheets but I didn’t feel clean my entire stay. The bathroom shower curtain only had a few curtain holders on the top and the rest was pinned to the wall with the hanging line thing. The liner was all moldy because it was doubled up and probably never dried. Overall, cannot recommend Chewuch and I would not choose to stay here again.

On the positive side, the water pressure was great, water flavor from the tap good, comfortable beds & pillows. On the negative, early check in not honored, room not ready, no one at the front desk to greet us; actually no one on-site except the person still cleaning our room, fireplace didn't work, ice maker didn't work, direct TV didn't work (had 1 channel that worked all the time, the others did not), no one serviced the room at all, room had a kitchen but was very ill-equipped--I had to raid the dining room & kitchen just for the basic supplies. Kind of reminded me of the church camp I went to as a kid--rustic to the point of ridiculous.

Great base with good local amenities
Great base to explore the North Cascade trail and surrounding areas. Spent two nights which was ample time. The Cabins are close to local amenities which made it easy too.

My husband was born and raised in the Methow valley. We have stayed at the Chewuch Inn for many years. Location is important to us. The rooms get 5 stars for cleanliness. The bedding and towels were great. Beds comfortable. From the owners of at least 10 years or more ago we have seen a bit of overall decline in the dining services, and condition of the property. I noticed it was a different booking company when we booked. Ran out of some breakfast items. Noticed front desk was juggling desk, dining room and housekeeping. We understand how difficult it is to staff businesses now days so kudos to them. Would highly recommend and will stay again next year.
