Honest review.
Our room was very spartin. No view, few outlets and charging stations, tiny bath and toilet area. It had hot tubs/steam pools but they were a ways off in the cold, dark and snow. The room right next to ours was nicer. It had a fireplace in it. They billed our card 3 days BEFORE we arrived (I'm used to being billed at checkout). The staff was pleasant. The room was $300 so it could have been a little better, but Ouray is a ritzy mountain tourist location.

Two star hotel stay
One for the bed comfortability and second star for the breakfast, the hot tubs were either broken, too hot or had too many people in it!! And the shower was great til someone below us went to go use their shower then the pressure went way down to nothing.

We will never stay at Box Canyon Lodge again. The room smelled musty the towels were old and frayed and we were overcharged. Breakfast and coffee was supposed to start at 7:30. We waited till 7:35. It never opened so we left

Great location!
The location is super convenient close to restaurants and the main street of town! The rooms are comfortable but you do hear your neighbors (especially the inconsiderate loud ones). The views from the hot tubs are awesome and the staff super friendly!

Great weather and people. I do think you should add a few wall hooks in the room. There are multiple places you could , and with robes for the hot tubs and coats for the mountains, some wall hooks would be very helpful.

Wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful time! Such a quaint spot surrounded by all the beauty of Ouray. It is in walking distance to town. We loved the accessibility to all the tubs. It was quiet, well run and the front desk was great. The rooms are pretty basic but nice.

The front desk person Jasmine was so pleasant and helpful. The hot tubs are very enjoyable and we were out in the rain. Rooms have a microwave and mini fridge, comfy beds, wonderful breakfast. This is a great place to stay, near the Bix Canyon hike and walking to town. Stay here look no further!

Beautiful stay, Awesome springs
Awesome place to stay! Just like any other place in the area, it does cost more. But for good reason staying in this beautiful town. Employee was pleasant. They do close the hot pools WAY too early. barely had time to relax once we got there before they kicked everyone out. Definitely recommend keeping them open for an extra hour. Most hot springs we've been to always close at 11pm so this was weird. Room was as good as it should've been. and we liked how the springs were integrated into the property! Relaxing place to stay. Our room door had an issue with catching on the side because it was damaged but it worked ok. Overall, this is a great stay and would recommend. We'll be back.

Way overpriced small smelly rooms! No outside lights to safely walk on the extremely unleveled walkway, dangerous! Our group reserved and occupied 8 different rooms for 2 nights and all have been encouraged to right their own review, but after hearing the phone call from the hotel head maid that I was being charged an extra $150.00 clean up fee for broken glass and trashing the room! After talking to the hotel maid and disputing the made up ridiculous exuberant charges! I ask him if he could prove it with witnesses or photos of the damage and he sarcastically says no so I immediately called my cc company and disputed the charges! And I encourage everyone NEVER WASTE A DIME AT THIS LOW LIFE OLD HOTEL!
