This property is NOT within walking distance of Bar Harbor. Be aware that the rooms are basically like a youth hostel room, extremely small. It was wildly over-priced for what it was.

We stayed for 3 nights on our trip to Acadia. The Motel is overpriced for what it offers but it is on the peninsula and it is at a convenient location for visitors. The bed is not comfortable and the room is too small. AC unit gets too hot in heat setting and drying up the room. Staff is friendly and helpful. The highlight is definitely the free breakfast options that guests write down on a paper every morning.

Vorauszahlung bei Expedia wurde trotz Vorlage der Buchungsbestätigung grundsätzlich nicht anerkannt; eine Woche vor unserem Eintreffen wurde der ohnehin horrende Betrag von fast 700 Dollar für zwei Übernachtungen noch einmal abgebucht und die Eigentümerin war nicht bereit, selbst Kontakt mit Expedia zu suchen... Die Gegend um Bar Harbour und der Arcadia Nationalpark sind noch dazu völlig überbewertet und nur auf Abzocke aus! Frühstück gab es im Papiersack zum Essen auf dem Bett. Das ganze ist aber im Staat Maine durchaus unüblich!

Overpriced, dated 1950s style motel with unbelievably small rooms and the tiniest bathrooms we have ever experienced. Just barely okay for one night. Would not stay here again.

The breakfast arrangement was a little strange. After checking off a few standard continental breakfast items from a list, you had to go to the office and pick it up in a brown paper bag the next morning at 8 am. Main entrance poorly marked and lighted at night. It was pitch dark and we had to make a left turn from the highway. I missed it and almost caused a major accident with passing and oncoming traffic.

Room small, cramped. Not what was expected from pictures. Internet virtually unusable on my gear. Staff seemed indifferent at times and very rigid. The stay did what it needed to do but I would never stay there again.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing as it was a brown paper bag you picked up in the office. The night before you select what you want from the options they list. What you get the next morning is a surprise. Ordered toast from the list of options, but it was a slice of plain bread with no way to toast it. Steps into the office are impossible for folks with mobility difficulties. Saw more than 1 person struggle with them and 1 person who was unable to navigate them at all.
