Glorified Motel for Premium Price
This is a glorified motel. run down even the updated rooms are still just not great. There is no water bottle provided in the room and the water for sale in the lobby was $10! just ridiculous. BUT nothing beats this location, right on the beach, and walking distance to town. The valet service attendants were amazing, but for this high price, I would spend a little more and stay somewhere nice.

Stressful. Unkind. Racist hotel.
My arrival was perfect, and the gentleman who checked me in was exceedingly kind. However, since the telephone was not functioning and the hotel wished to send someone to my room to repair it, I politely declined out of consideration for my family's comfort. Shouldve worked upon arrival. We had breakfast at the Deck and requested a slightly later checkout time, but the hotel refused due to noise complaints. They should have come to my room to inform me, considering my phone was not working.. My family and I hurried back to our room, aware that we had 30 minutes until checkout. To our surprise, we found our keys had been locked. Went to the front desk, staff treated my family like hoodlums, and even yelled at my kids just because they were vocal about us still having time to check out. They checked me out and charged my card before I requested it, even though I still had time. We waited almost 30 minutes to return to our room to collect our belongings. The front desk attendant, after giving me another key, threatened to charge me for another night if we weren't out within 15 minutes, causing us significant stress. Because I had my children with me, I had to hurry, as we needed to go home to prepare for our vacation later that night. I am a busy travel nurse, which explains the delay in leaving this review, which I will also post on other platforms.

Too many
We had a great time in area the beach and fires in the area. The Taco stand restaurant was great loved the Tacos. The room was very old fashioned and need updating; the carpet was old and faded, the kitchen draws were just painted over with white paint to look new but was not and was some of them were stuck shut had to pull hard, the bathroom was very small no matter how I tried I kept hitting the wall when I came out of shower and had to dry myself off. Side and toilet was 3ft from the wall. The last thing I did not like was the breakfast burritos with potatoes, they were bland no salt or pepper added and potatoes were boils not fried. When we call to make another with added season and salt they said they can’t do that because it’s pre-made. They there was the velvet we didn’t used but they try to charge us for $45 lol no thank you that too much.

The room was awesome, we could hear the waves even with the windows and doors closed. We went down to The Deck for dinner and the bar service was friendly and easy. Overall, great stay with the only a couple of complaints. One being that there was no toaster or microwave in the room as shown in the photos and we would have to go to the main building lobby to heat food. The second being that the shower had a high pitch screech when being used.

Not as described online.
The experience was not so good as the rooms were worn down and did not look like the images online or on your website. The images you have are for upgraded rooms not the rooms we have. Additionally, the hotel was not waterfront as described online. The shower had mold, the rooms was smelly even after we asked to be moved to another room. The rooms was smelly still and appliances were old and elevator was dirty and chipped all around.

Avoid at all costs!!
DO NOT STAY HERE! It was a nightmare! Let’s start out with a couple positives. Great location and they let us check in early. Now the bad. You have to valet your car and it cost $45/day. We got to our room and it wreaked of mildew and felt dirty. Very outdated and small. The walls are paper thin. The only source of heat in our room was a space heater. Surely, that can’t be safe! Especially, with little kids in the room. I expressed my concerns with the front desk and they were very dismissive. You couldn’t even call the front desk, no phones in the room either. Shower was disgusting and water wouldn’t go down the drain. I would NEVER stay here again.

Great marketing, Disappointing stay.
The property has great marketing, but falls short on delivery. The room we booked had pictures of the ocean as if it were ocean front. Instead we got a view of an alleyway and parking lot. The room was dated and musty, contrasting the beautiful rooms that were advertised. My booking also said it had complimentary valet parking, which the front desk did not want to honor and wanted to charge $45 a night for its compulsory service. In the end they agreed to waive it when I showed the evidence. Finally, the listing showed the property had a gym, but when I woke up and got ready for a gym session, the front desk informed me there was not such amenity.

WITH A LITTLE TLC THIS PLACE WOULD REALLY SHINE!
The Valets need to get off their phones and communicate with their Guests. I was not offered any assistance with a luggage cart until I had already filled it. The lanai is due for a power wash. Replace the the warped baseboards. The pool and Spa are in dire need of re-plastering. Otherwise, pay the extra and get an Oceanfront Room! The views are breathtaking. The Front Desk Staff is very courteous and the Maids were very attentive. The staff at the Driftwood Restaurant were also terrific. IMHO, the good outweighs the not-so-good...but, with the right touches, this place could give the Surf and Sand a run for the money!

Great location. Standards dropping (dropped!).
This place is getting seriously tired. Service levels have dropped. Room clearly not properly cleaned from previous guests. Reception manager didn’t care. Apparently you have to ask for towels for the third guest. No longer cheap. $350 a night 🙄🙄🙄

Perfect beach trip
My friend and I stayed for a girls trip. Right on the beach. Beautiful view and walking distance to down town. Only thing we did not like was the shower & the lack of a full size mirror for outfit checks. Expect to get wet as you turn the shower on. The design to walk in is not the best. & the shower head is extremely high, so we could not move it.

Beautiful oceanfront view
My husband took me to celebrate my birthday! The views from the oceanfront room in the “Reef” bldg. were incredible and the bed was so comfortable. There’s not an elevator so be sure to get a bellman!!

Only in town for the night
The location of this place is amazing, we only stayed one night so we didnt get to take advantage of all the sites around the area. Would go back to make sure we take advantage of all it has to offer. The place is a little dated but looks like they do their best to make it presentable.
