First of all, the staff was very kind and understanding of my un easiness of staying there. I changed my 3 day stay to one night. I did spray the room with lysol and wiped down all areas with chlorox wipes. Just was enough for me to stay.

The bathroom floor was horrible. The exhaust couldn't keep the steam out of the bathroom so had an attack because I couldn't breath. Beds were like laying on a board.

The room we stayed in needs a GOOD deep cleaning, but the lobby & breakfast area were nice & clean. The lady that checked us in was a little short, she didn't tell us about breakfast or checkout time, and I had to ask about how to access the room. The two ladies in the morning both at the desk & taking care of breakfast were very pleasant. We stayed there due to the closeness to the racetrack.

If you travel with pets this is a great lodging option in the South Boston area. And for those of you not traveling with pets, this is still a good option. The facility and rooms do not have the typical 'pet' smell or appearance. They do a very good job of keeping the rooms clean and fresh.

The first room smelled of cigarettes and a spilled bottle of cheap perfume to cover it. The second room was ok except the bathroom smelled of mildew — like towels that had been left in the washer for a week. The cherry on top was the room next door. 20 something kids, door open, smoking on walkway and clearly stoned out of their minds. (Circa 9:30PM). We left for VIR at 5:30AM and found most of them passed out in their room on the floor and across beds, but one hardy individual was still outside smoking “something.” We’ve stayed here before. I don’t think we will again.

OK, not great
This hotel was ok for one night. The staff were nice. The hotel is a bit run-down. The room seemed very moist - even the sheets and towels seemed moist. The smell of the cleaner used in the room (maybe for the carpet?) was overwhelming at first. Otherwise, the room was average. The pool was dirty. Noise from outside woke us up a couple times. I would only stay again if there were not an alternative.

Excellent at the Quality Inn
My name is Randall Thompson. I have been staying at the Quality Inn in South Boston Virginia for approximately four weeks now and will continue staying with him with them until my business project is complete. The staff and management at the Quality Inn in South Boston Virginia are excellent! The rooms are well taken care of and clean,You can have Hot coffee anytime you want it, In the lobby area And enjoy an and enjoy a hot breakfast with lots of choices every morning. The staff and management are all very friendly making me feel like family! I would definitely recommend the Quality Inn In South Boston to Virginia to all my family and friends!😊
