So disappointed - wanted a special stay
On the floor next to the bedstand there was a dead spider under its spider web, a big chunk of food (best guess what it was), other big black crumbs on the other side of the bed. The bathroom had black soot splashes on two walls (not stains), very sticky floor, dirty grout, red/brown splashes near toilet. I wiped up water from the floor in the bed room and the towel was disgusting dirty from un-mopped floors. We arrived late so only saw a couple of these things before bed and were too exhausted to call in. It wasn't until morning that we saw just how unclean this place was in the light of day. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the location. It's right next to a beautiful walk through the wildlife reserve. I don't know if this was a fluke or what but I was so disappointed. This was supposed to be a special, one-night stay near the beach for my girlfriend. There are too many other details to mention. This was like a dirty motel rather than a 3 star hotel.

We had 3 rooms for our family. Rooms were nice. Nice having the lobby to have coffee and tea. The only thing was the outside grounds need to be kept up. Beautiful place otherwise.

I wanted to love this location. Like many of the reviews show, it's an amazing location with a great view, but the customer service felt lackluster after we had driven 5 hours to rest and we were placed right next to a loud ice machine and broken vending machine that did not have any water for us to purchase. The room itself looked like it had been sitting for a while given the musty smell, dust, and most concerning, the black mold that covered the door. We were quite frankly tired after driving otherwise we would have asked to swap rooms, but nonetheless, the black mold was a health hazard we should have brought up. We were next to the pool on the ground level, which might indicate why there was mold. The inn has a great location and rooms, but they really do need to put in more effort to actually deep clean these rooms once in a while.

I will not stay at this hotel next year. It is falling apart- a big blue tarp was on the overlook patio and made it look like a run down shack. 4 of the fireplaces were broken. Owners need to invest to get this hotel looking decent and not like a dump.

The property is nice. The bathroom floor tiles and grout were filthy. The bathroom had no ventilation besides a window, causing condensation on all surfaces including the ceiling as well as causing the room smelled musty.

Not so clean
The hotel is in a beautiful area. The restaurant is a nice addition and the grounds seem to be in good condition. My room was not the highlight of this stay. It was small, but at the most basic of what they offer so this wasn't really the issue. It was dirty. The floor was grimy and it eveb had a dead bug right in the middle of it. The shower was pretty nasty. It was slipery with soap scum, I could see the pink scum all around the tile making me wonder the last time it was cleaned. The previous guests shampoos were left in the shower which made me wonder if the room had been cleaned at all. There was no hand soap/soap for the bathroom sink and I was giveb a washcloth as the hand towel. This all puzzled me as I'd read this was the nicest hotel in the area. I guess I expected more

We paid for 2 nights balcony bay view & what they gave us was a obstructed view of bay overlooking parking lot😩 Carpet didn’t appear vacuumed & there was hair on towels in bathroom & on chair in room. Needless to say we will not be back! No included breakfast, no fire pits! Seriously why so expensive! Super disappointed since it was my husbands birthday!!!!!! Beware there are lots of steps as there is no elevator

Initial experience was bad. Even though I called way ahead of check in time and said I was arriving late, they told me no problem, they kept my initial room, when I called the second time to update them on my arrival time, they told me they didn’t have that room available anymore! I have to ask for management to resolve the “problem”; they did and got a nice room and had a great time with my family.

Not enough heat
Ambient temperature in the room was around 40°, and the heater in the room was a small wall heater. We were there for about an hour and the heater did not improve the room temperature

Nice but needs a little upkeep
We really enjoyed our stay but like other people have mentioned, the tooms need some work. Definitely needs to be repainted, toilet paper holder was falling off the wall, things like that. The shower was new and beautiful and the view from the restaurant was incredible. It’s very quiet there and feels very safe. Bed was super comfortable and we loved having a fireplace
