Nice place – shame about the pool!
I was there on business – it was a black-tie dinner for one of the teams in which I participate. The drinks service which was supposed to happen at 6:30 pm, prior to the meal at 7 pm was severely delayed. So of course our members supported your bar – maybe this was the intention or am I just being cynical?
The dinner was quite nice but the desert course very disappointing. I had baked cheesecake. It was not baked. It was a cheap and nasty instant pudding type cheesecake, sweet and sickly – with an even sweeter watered-down jam on the side. I think you have the nerve to call that a coulis!
The disco after the meal was extraordinarily bad. So ridiculously loud at 75% of the company left the room – many didn’t return. The DJs were asked to lower the sound and they adjusted it very slightly – but it was still too uncomfortable to stay in that room. They were told that many people would come back if they just played at a reasonable volume – our pleas were ignored. That dreadful disco really spoiled what could’ve been a very enjoyable night.
I went swimming the following morning. The leisure facility is new and bright and shiny (or just had a facelift!) But the pool is TINY. Not much bigger than a private pool! And when 70% of it is given over to kiddies swimming lessons, and one family with two kids monopolises the remaining Lane – there was no space in which to swim! Such a shame – what were you thinking to put such a small pool at a hotel?

Great hotel
Lovely hotel. I would say the best I have stayed in, in Peterborough. The rooms were clean, the food was nice and the leisure facilities were lovely. Would go back again

Awful experience with Marriott/Delta Peterborough
I had booked Marriott/Delta hotel Peterborough using hotels.com app in May-2024. I had booked the hotel almost 5 months in advance since i was supposed to attend the important meeting. On 24th Oct 2024 i went their around 10:30am in the morning and asked them if i can do early check in, they said i was too early and should leave my bag come back later. After that i left my bag and came back in the late evening to do the check in. When i went to checkin desk the person at the reception couldn’t find my booking in the system. I showed them my hotels.com confirmation and after that they were able to see it on the Expedia portal linked to marriott but not in the mariott system. They made me wait for an hour. After that they told me that they are overbooked and hence will need to send me to another hotel. As a compensation the reception guy said he has deposited 10,000 bonvoy points to my mariott bon voy account 748537273. But these points never got deposited so it was a complete lie. On that night around mid night i was shifted another local low category hotel which wasn’t looking safe when i went there. In the morning i again came back to mariott since they had promised me a room on 25th oct night but then the front office manager was extremely rude and arrogant and unapologetic. I again left my bag there and i was told that when i return room will be ready and bag will be in my room, and when i checked in i was told that bag in the room but bag wasn’t there.
