Winter Surprise
Off Season but full occupancy due its charming Owners/Operators, its location [ South Shore Lake Superior ] and its price. An historical facility extremely well Kept-Up and Spotlessly Clean. Will stay there again for next next year's Free-Heel Conclave .

Sweet hotel.
Sweet hotel in between Ontonagon and the Porcupine Mountains. Comfy log cabin vibe. Very clean. Across the street - the hotel has a great beach access with incredible views of Lake Superior and a beautiful beach. Gracious hosts greeted us.

Cozy, very clean, not a lot of extras, but nice to stay in a place that makes you feel at home and not at busy motel. Wild life decor done up very nice.

This quaint motel is a gem,nice rooms with different up north themes,clean as a whistle.The owners Tony and Nou were awesome, so friendly and accommodating, they even have a bonfire for the guest at night.There's also a beach access across the street which is awesome. Myself and my wife stayed for 3nights,wish it could've been longer.Hope we get to return again some day.Highly recommend!! Brent and Faith

The owners are investing the heart and soul into the motel. They have remodeled the rooms and the exterior of the buildings. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We loved the added whimsical touches on their walkway to Lake Superior. We will stay at Sunshine the next time I travel to the UP, and will recommend it to my friends and family.
