There was hair all over the bathroom floor and in the shower. I did not have enough hot water for a shower in the morning. And there was a smoke alarm that was placed right over the bed that blinked like a strobe light. Not a great day.

Has potential
The breakfast was nice with fresh not powdered eggs and Maxine was keeping everything well stocked and pleasant. The desk clerk gave us a downstairs room right by the side exit door. Starting at 3 am contractors who were working in the area started leaving for the day with constant slamming of the door, the desk clerk was aware of this schedule. We finally got dressed and let Tivonda at the front desk know and requested another room for the 2nd night. No apology was offered and was not pleasant at all. The front desk people need some training in hospitality especially since they are the first ones you meet when you arrive. This hotel has great potential with better staffing.

Disappointing Stay with Several Issues We stayed at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham South Hill for three nights and encountered multiple problems that made our stay very unpleasant. 1. The elevator was out of service during our entire stay, despite being told it would be fixed. My wife and I had to carry two large suitcases, a carry-on, and two backpacks up to the fourth floor using the stairs. When we asked if there were rooms available on a lower floor, we were told there weren’t any. The front desk did not offer any assistance either, which was very disappointing. Due to this, I hurt my back, and it’s still bothering me a week later. 2. We found a dirty, wet paper towel ball in the microwave, which was unhygienic and unacceptable. 3. The bathtub drain was clogged, and the water drained very slowly, making it uncomfortable to shower. 4. The fire stairwell was also dirty, and it didn’t seem like it had been cleaned in a while. 5. The pillows and mattress were incredibly soft and uncomfortable. They felt cheap and offered no support. 6. The window in the room couldn’t be opened to let in fresh air, which made the room feel stuffy. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay and would not recommend this hotel.

The property is nice. Elevator wasn’t working. I’m 65 yrs old and had to climb 4 flights of stairs. Ask for a quiet room. Was given 2nd floor and the option was 4Th floor. I took it because I didn’t want anyone over my head. Awful trip.
