Dirty walls, rattling doors, uncomfortable
No parking was available on site, had to pay to park in nearby carpark, hotel offered no compensation for this. The room was very dated with dirty marks on the walls, the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable, could feel the springs and it was so noisy when you moved. Tv remote didnt work the tv, the shower was next to useless water trickled out and if you turned the head upside down the water didnt even spray out. The door to the room rattled and banged wherever some one els opened the door to there room which was annoying. Luckily i only stayed for one night and had to leave early for work definitely wont be recommending.

Honestly I’m not sure where to start! It was quite simply the most uncomfortable stay in any hotel that we have ever experienced. Nothing about the hotel warrants any positive feedback

Very very Disappointing
We had a family room booked and was not warned that it would mean climbing four flights of stairs to get to the second floor. We had an 86yr old with us and weren't even offered help with bags. The person who checked us in couldn't give a damn. When we got to the room it was disgusting. The carpets were frayed, the walls had marks, there were only two tea cups and they were dirty. There was no soap in the toilet and the whole hotel was boiling hot. There was bugs everywhere and all the windows were dirty. We were in the attic space and the bathroom had no windows and no working extractor fan. We only stayed one night so as soon as we woke up, we left.

Never again
Dirty towels left in the bathroom when I arrived, heating didn’t work because they only turn it on during winter even though it was cold and raining outside. kettle didn’t work, bed was uncomfortable. I booked two nights stay but left after the first night. i work in St Neots which is two stops away but I’d rather head back to London stay in my own bed and risk the long journey in the morning then stay here that is nearer to my place of work.

The pub below the hotel was lovely. Staff were very accommodating and there were lovely food and drink options. The room however was quite disappointing. Marks on bedding and dirty facilities made for quite a surprise to an otherwise quaint little pub. Serious upgrades to showers is needed, at the time of writing, the options are scolding hot or freezing cold! The ‘Kingsize’ bed is fit for a jester. Off kilter and uncomfortable with pillows would be mistaken for paper are also an area for an upgrade. Redeeming factor being the staff were prompt and able to help at the drop of a hat for the needs of our one night stay.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good, and the bar and reception area are well kept. However the rooms are needing renovations! Bathroom was grubby and old. Showers need replacing, along with toilet, carpets in room. The bedroom looked like it had been updated, nice wallpaper, bed was ok, however pillows were awful, very thin and cheap. Room was very hot, even with window fully open all night.
