The owner is very kind and helpful
I needed a place close to the airport for an early morning flight. I arrived the owner was helpful and kind. Telling me the best place to park my car, showing me the room before check in and how to run the heat etc.

Poor, sketchy condition
Would NOT recommend this place. Outside looked very unkempt, side foyer before entering the lobby reeked of weed, and my husband saw a syringe under the bushes. Front desk guy looked like he had just rolled out of bed at 4pm. Thankfully we checked out the room before unloading the car - it stunk like it hadn’t been cleaned and the floor was sticky, and had what looked like mold. We walked back out and my husband loaded our kids back in the car. I told the front desk the condition of the room and that we would not be staying. He offered to change our room but other than that he didn’t seem to care that we were leaving and just refunded our money. Went across the street to the Extended Stay and luckily got a beautiful room for $15 more.

Super cheap! Super crappy!
Easy parking, quiet building, clean linens. Bed spread was stained, pullout bed had blood stains, room was dirty, building was dilapidated and in disrepair. Coffee was terrible and no creamers. Sketchy electrical under AC units, wifi didn’t work, TV inoperable.

The smell of must is literally horrendous. holes in the walls,broken blinds so anyone can watch you sleep. The Oder of must and mold is so strong. Yes, I paid 50 bucks for my room so I wasn’t expecting anything great. just didn’t want to pay over 100 to only sleep a couple hours and go.

Good hotel
I liked out stay at HomeTown Inn by Red Roof East Syracuse. I was there with my Ukranian friend who was surprised there were also hotels in America with same quality as in hes country. I really liked the reception because there was Egyptian workers who gave the hotel international feeling since it is near the airport. There was also many locals staying at the hotel and especially there were very friendly american hiphop style singers hanging out at the front of the elevators. First they looked scary because I have seen many rap music videos, but after I talk to them they were extremely friendly. Room was also decent quality. There was hot water, internet, beds with bed linen and towels which were ok for me, I also liked because there was a cockroach in the room which my friend tried to catch and it was funny to see him being afraid of the little bugs, television also had good channels and we were happy because most of the wall electric outlets did work, also free coffee in the room.

Just why.
Stay was horrible I didn't sleep at all there were cockroaches everywhere found one crawling by my one year old's face they were all over the TV stand the bathroom and they weren't just the big ones they were the babies so they've been there for a while smelled like mold I've been stuffing can't breathe since I left there since last night when I got there I was no stuffiness so nothing until an hour afterwards and yeah now my head hurts and everything else I don't know if it was mold and air conditioner or what it was the bathroom filthy beyond disgusting haven't looked like it's been cleaned in years I looked like a truck stop bathroom actually think they're cleaner than their bathroom there's some there's hair that was old and crusted inside the drain style all over the sink and this was my second room they switched me to I'm just at that point I said we're just here for shower and sleep and yeah have you ever felt dirty after taking a shower? What I brought it to the desk manager's attention this morning he just asked what room I was in after I already told him what room and he said okay then nothing about it so clearly they really don't care cuz they know low income people will stay here. The man who checked me in acted like it was an annoyance to be there

DO NOT BOOK
DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL! This place was horrible, the advertisement is fraudulent. It’s described as a hotel and the pictures on the website make it look like a hotel. But…the photos on the website are not photos of the actual MOTEL. The photos are stock photos taken from the internet from an actual hotel. For example, one of the photos depicts interior hotel rooms in an interior hallway. The rooms look nothing like the photo. The “non-smoking” rooms reek of cigarettes and marihuana. Additionally, there are shady characters staying at this MOTEL. There are signs warning against engaging in illicit drug transactions. I paid $258 for a 2-night stay. Despicable. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. STAY AWAY from this place.
