Mostly good
Good room. Comfortable. Still fairly new feel, but they could keep up better on maintenance issues. Shower door wouldn’t shut properly. High-tech TV in room but we couldn’t connect to it. Front desk wouldn’t answer my call from the room. Went down in person and was given a number to call. They couldn’t fix it and said they’d call back in five minutes. Then called back over an hour later after we were in bed.

For want of a toilet...
The facility would have been okay but the toilet in one room would not flush. When we tried to call the front desk, we got no answer. We tried a cellphone call to the hotel number. No answer after 15 rings. I went down to the desk and was given something I could try myself to fix it. It did not. I took the lid off the tank and we flushed it by hand.

Aging hotel surrounded new alternatives. Only one luggage trolley which was not available checking in and out, a sign of poor management. Adequate but needs to step up their game going forward.

Found blood on the sheets and my husband and I both had an allergic reaction to the bedding. They told us they use Tide but we’ve stayed at the hotel they chain before and I’ve never had an issue.

Comfortable, clean and modern
Love this Abbott hotel in Staunton Virginia. Impressed with the minimalist, clean and attractive style of the room. Sturdy and easy accessible shelf for two suitcases and storage beneath mini fridge and microwave clean modern bathroom. Everything you need comfortable bed perfect lighting big screen TV great portable breakfast in the morning we took our little dog Who was very welcome and comfortable also. Staff and receptionist, especially kind and friendly. Will definitely use this hotel on our trips in the future.

The hotel was incredibly quiet, despite being sold out. The 24 coffee service was great! Points off for water pressure and hot water. In fact, the shower turned itself off multiple times. Only one elevator working which was at times a pain, but overall, worth the stay.

This rather new hotel has comfortable rooms with clever decor. On three visits staff have been uniformly helpful. Location at intersection of I-64 and I-81 is convenient for our frequent trips between Upstate NY and the NC Triangle.
