Victorian inn
I stayed the hotel from March 5th to the 8th.
The location is unbeatable.
But here are the cons:
1. Room was extremely noisy. Located next to the street, I couldn't sleep a wink through my stay with all the street noise, cars, people walking by talking, scraping snow.
2. Room was basic and quite comfortable. On one of the days I put the sign " please make up my room" on my door and when I came back from skiing, the room had not been made up, on the contrary the sign had been flipped around to the " do not disturb " side.Maybe the housekeeping staff was telling me not to disturb them. I was not sure what the point of offering the option was if it was going to be ignored.
3. On my first day I had to leave early to collect my equipment and pass, and left the hotel before breakfast. When I returned around 1pm, I saw the breakfast cereal was still out and helped myself to a small bowl of cereal. I showed the person at the front desk my keycard. He was checking in another guest at that time. He told me rather rudely " We don't serve lunch or dinner". I told him I'd be happy to put back the little bowl of cereal and he replied "just telling you for the future". Not only was his attitude rude, but it was tacky. At $1,200 for a 3 day stay, a small bowl of cereal is not a huge deal. Even if a big deal, he could have conveyed the same in a polite manner instead of barking at me from across the lobby in front of another guest.
