Lacks Safety and Cleanliness
The room I had rented didn’t have a functional heater and was blowing cold air. The sheets had been stained with blood and urine, and some of the lights didn’t work. The lock on the door didn’t work. We had asked for another room, and the hotel staff was able to accommodate us for another room mainly for a room with a functioning heater. When we had gotten to the room, the heater worked, but it could not be controlled. Overnight, the room became a sauna. The second room was also not fully cleaned as there were stains in the sheets, there were items left behind from the previous occupants including a cigarette butt in the bathroom drain, an expired orange under the bed, and someone’s earbuds and phone charger. The locks on the second room also weren’t engaging properly. The exterior of the hotel also didn’t feel safe as there wasn’t enough street lighting for the parking lot.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was okay. The shower head was low had to bend down to use. The bed seemed old and the pillows were not comfortable. This location is an older location definitely needs to be upgraded.

Don’t stay here. Horrible place they call a hotel.
Condition of this hotel is horrible. Totally unsafe. Doors to the sides are unlocked, the card reader doesn’t work so anyone could come in. It smelled like weed and was dirty. Had my mother in law which is on medication and my kids. Totally not family friendly. Pool was green and dirty.

**Extremely Intrusive and Unsafe for Older Women** I stayed at La Quinta in Las Cruces, and I have never felt so uncomfortable and disrespected in a hotel. As an older woman traveling alone, I expected a quiet, professional experience, but what I got was the exact opposite. The staff here is not only rude but also extremely intrusive. They act like they have a right to barge into your space whenever they please. It’s unnerving. They do random room checks with no real explanation, making me feel completely unsafe and exposed. It was clear to me that they treat older women with complete disregard. I couldn’t shake the feeling that they were looking down on me, and there were multiple instances where the staff made dismissive or condescending comments about my age. Their behavior was unprofessional and humiliating. The area around the hotel didn’t help either. I didn’t feel safe going outside at night, and even inside, the environment felt hostile. This is not a place where you can relax or feel secure. If you’re a woman, especially an older one, I would not recommend staying here. It’s uncomfortable, unsafe, and honestly, discriminatory. I won’t be coming back.

**Terrifying Experience - Unsafe and Discriminatory** I recently stayed at La Quinta in Las Cruces, with my boyfriend and let me tell you, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. As a trans man, I’ve faced my fair share of discrimination, but this was next-level. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly rude, and it felt like they were eyeing me with suspicion. It wasn’t long before I realized why: they clearly don’t care for LGBTQ people. There were passive-aggressive comments, and they seemed to go out of their way to make me uncomfortable. The area around the hotel is just plain dangerous. I heard from other guests that homeless people have broken into rooms before, and after hearing noises late at night, I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened during my stay. I didn’t feel safe leaving my room, and I certainly didn’t feel safe IN it. To make matters worse, the staff conducts random room checks like it’s a prison or something. I caught them gossiping about other guests in the lobby, making it pretty clear that privacy and respect aren’t on their list of priorities. The whole vibe was hostile, and I honestly felt intimidated, like I was being watched and judged the entire time. If you’re queer or trans, or frankly, just want to feel safe and respected, I strongly advise you to steer clear of this place. No one deserves to feel the way I did here.

Without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed. There were no trash cans in the room, several of the outlets didn't work, the toilet was broken, which means housekeeping and/or maintenance should have known. The pool is filled with algae and these fools still put on the light at nigh in the pool. Ridiculous. No elevator nor ice machine to boot. NEVER stay at this place!
