Enjoyable stay
Excellent location. We chose attic room no. 8 for the view of the Abbey but not quite as expected! Bill did say the room would be redecorated shortly which it needed. Curtains and roof window blind also need replacing as not fitted properly. Though room was warm with hot water and clean towels and bedding. Breakfast was delicious. Excellent service from Bill who was knowledgeable of the area and very hospitable. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Bill was a great host and the property itself is in a quiet location in good walking distance of the sea views and the shops/restaurants. Room was a good size and breakfast was very tasty and included in the price which isn’t always the case! Would highly recommend.

Bill couldn’t do enough for you. We had a 2 night stay 6th and 7th September. As always with whitby, the weather was unpredictable. Of cause we made the most of it but the time spent at Argyle was spotless, comfy and cozy. We had the the family room which was brilliant far better than just a bed in our room. We have a 13 year old daughter and we had a room next to a room but they were together which was connected together with a bolted door leading out to the landing. We could keep our doors open but keep the out door bolted at night. Brilliant idea if your child wants a little bit of privacy. The breakfasts were delicious and lots of choice. Will definitely be staying here again that’s for sure 👍 😊

Lovely B&B. Bill is a lovely host. We had room 2, which is really nice with a sea view. Very nice breakfast. Easy walking distance to the beach, quayside, town centre, all the main attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in Whitby.

July stay
Stayed two nights and Bill (owner) could not do more to help. We have stayed at a range of places in Whitby over the years and the owner was top of the pops for kindness and consideration. Had a long chat one morning, which is appreciated when you understand how busy they must be and makes you feel valued. Room had lots of nice touches and in a good location. Would 100% recommend.

Classic seaside B&B! Walkable into Whitby. Room small but functional, comfortable for short stay. Very clean but a little old fashioned. Host amazing, nothing too much trouble and breakfast outstanding. A good experience, thank you Bill.

The most important thing, that matters to me, is the welcome you received when walking through the door for the first time, and you know what, it was great, it's just like meeting up with a old friend, nothing was too much trouble, even breakfast was tailored to your person taste, the room had everything we needed and quite a few little extras, this was our first visit, but it's not going to be the last, a,marvellous hotel and a really very special host,
