The place itself is stunning and staff are very friendly. The grandeur of the buildings and grounds creates an amazing ambience and this is complimented by the reception, dining areas and rooms. Was last here a good few years ago, and they have only refined their beautiful hotel.

Really good family hotel. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are tired, new bathrooms and furniture needed but they’re clean. Lots of kids about during half term, not an issue for us but might be to many for others

Nice hotel, could be exceptional with a lot of investment. Nice Spa, bar was okay, restaurant was okay. Young restaurant staff need to speak louder. Breakfast was poor. Overall it was okay.

Great Country House Hotel
Proper Country House Hotel. Great looking place. Staff all v friendly and helpful at every touch point from reception to the gym to the bar. Don't forget your Golf clubs (like I did) as great driving range if you don't want to play 18holes (with separate golf bar) Rooms spacious and clean. Bed and pillows a bit hard for my taste but blackout curtains work well! 😉

Beautiful peaceful break away
It was a lovely break away with kids and our dog. The staff were amazing especially the young girl at the lounge where we went in the evenings she went above and beyond for us. Spa was great and the staff were so welcoming. We will definitely come here again

Another Christmas trip to Dunston hall this time must have been the best service we ever received from staff all friendly and helpful. Only down side was pool in leisure facilities the Jacuzzi was out of order as well as the bubbles in the pool

Beautiful building, genetic interior
Although the architecture of the property is stunning, internally there are no historical features and the rooms are very generic, looking similar to a Travel lodge. The breakfast was basic with additional charges for extras, the toiletries were basic and overall there was nothing worth paying extra.

Second stay at the hotel, and a pleasant couple of night. Great to see a hotel with EV charging points making the trip around East Anglia and back to Cheshire an easier exercise. Hotel is clean and spacious and rooms good, except no glasses in room for water. Spa and pool great and breakfast was well covered for all peoples requirements.

Feels a little tired and poor cleanliness
Hotel has high praise locally but is now looking warn and tired. We were disappointed with the cleanliness (hairs in the bath, stains on the doors, stained teaspoons and water still in the cups) and the swimming pool area was pretty dirty (sand in the pool). The buttons for the whirlpools do not work and it’s looking run down. Staff were helpful and friendly though and the bar area has a nice ambience

Great stay, great people and awesome setting
Just a short stay, absolutely love the Old English Heritage in the statement of a building, this was well accompanied by the friendly staff and made the stay good. I will give a great thanks to Nova who served us in the Garden terrace bar. We had a good laugh.
