We like this place. The big drawbacks were the pool area was half closed, hot tub was more of a warm tub, fire alarms went off three times in one night, smokers everywhere in front of the rooms and no one from the hotel did anything. Bring your own pillows because the room pillows where like rolled up cardboard. .

Kids were upset that the pool was shut down for a night due to someone puking in the pool. One of the reasons we came was for the pool but they got to swim for a little before we had to check out in the morning.

Is this the best they can do?
Rude awakening 6am to the fire Alarm. Everyone left the building but was unclear as when we could return. Zero communication. No apology. I didn’t want nor ask for a discount because of the intrusion on a Saturday morning. However, an apology would’ve helped even more so communication as to when we could return to the room. The overall state of the hugely is slightly run down and paper thin walls.

Recommended beach hotel!
Wonderful hotel on the beach, every room has a view and access to the sands footsteps away. There is a great pool jacuzzi and kids water play area (indoors), a cafe/restaurant and tavern onsite (limited hours). Rooms are a bit old but they were comfortable and the near full size kitchens with breakfast bars makes it easy to prepare snacks and food. Full sized empty refrigerators. Location is off the highway so the only sounds you have are thundering surf.

This is the best indoor pool on the Oregon coast lovely place for my family we were able to do a polar plunge into The Ocean then run back to the indoor pool to warm up

Driftwood Shores is set in a lovely spot. We enjoyed our stay. The building and facilities are worn and could use some updating. Staff were friendly. It would be considerate of the path down to the beach were modified (gravel? small bridge?) were corrected so that guests didn't need to get wet.
