Relaxed autumn stay in charming Japanese guesthous
A really lovely stay at a Japanese guesthouse run by a very sweet old couple. The house is in immaculate condition with charming touches everywhere. To boot, there is a marvellously manicured garden in the European style as well as a private furo bath. The guesthouse owners waited late for us and made sure we were well-taken care of. The only downside might be that it is located some distance up a hill that is not well-lit at night and may be difficult to find among small, winding roads. That said, once we found the place, they helped us park as the roads were really quite narrow. Other than a little trouble finding the place in the night (which is no fault of the guesthouse owners), everything else was really very pleasant, and made for an enjoyable stay.
