A lovely historical house and setting, wonderful and interesting accents around, excellent books with house and New Bern history to read, our room was comfortable and perfect with view of the clock, gracious additions to make our stay like home, the breakfast was delicious and excellent, off street parking and hosts helpful and personable. This B&B provided what was probably the best B&B experience we have ever had. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, as were the public rooms. and our bed was very comfortable. Adequate parking was available in the rear of the property. The breakfast food was amazing. Innkeepers Tracy and Gretchen Du Peza could not have been nicer, especially when we missed the usual check in time by several hours. The rate was more than reasonable. We will certainly stay at the Benjamin Ellis House again the next time we are in New Bern.
