I loved how very traditional and beautiful this building was, not just on the outside but the dining rooms with wall and ceiling paintings also. Meals were very good and plentiful (lunch and dinner) and Hotel Schmied von Kochel is located centrally in the village with great access to everywhere, and was easy to find. Room was clean and well modernised and I appreciated the guest elevator! Definitely recommend it.

we didnt have a good stay
It was not a pleasant stay. From the empty reception to the rude unhelpful person in the restaurant who abandoned dealing with us to go into the kitchen, ignored us at breakfast and tried to say that we had not paid (for a pre-paid booking) the service was unacceptable. The shower was good. The room was acceptable although the fittings are in need of a refresh. The dark corridors to the rooms were full of abandoned furniture and builders tools. The breakfast was below expectations with watery coffee and stale bread. The hotel is located on a busier road than it looks on the map, consider this also when booking as the traffic noise was noticeable

Simple accommodation in a beautiful location
Very simple, but functional room. I stayed two nights, but received no housekeeping services after my first night. The breakfast was adequate; however, the food in the dining room at night was delicious! The hotel in conveniently located a short walk from the train/bus station.

You can do better
I took a room here because I needed a place to stay last minute. The hotel seems to be in a state of neglect. It has no functioning front desk; room keys were issued from a table at the back of the hotel restaurant that had a computer set up there temporarily. The place seemed half abandoned. The front desk person also tended the breakfasts area, which was messy and unpleasant. The bed and room were fine enough but no pleasure. The town is in a pretty spot but was not in itself an enjoyable destination.

レストランに併設されてるB&Bといった感じです。建物は古そうでしたが、部屋は清潔感ありました。宿の人は英語があまり得意ではなさそうで、半分ドイツ語で説明されました。このホテルに限りませんが、周辺にスーパーなどがなく、車がないと不便です。

Traditionshaus mit Charme
Der Gasthof hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Ein Haus mit Geschichte und voller Museumsstücke. Urige Gaststätte, ein schattiger Biergarten, ein großes helles Zimmer und ein umfangreiches Frühstücksbüffet machen das Hotel zusammen mit der schönen Voralpenlandschaft zu einer Empfehlung.
