We checked in to the first night of a 3 night stay and our air conditioner didn't work. It was 85* and 90% humidity outside, we were heading out to dinner and the front desk told us engineering would fix it. When we came back the front desk said engineering fixed the issue. When we got to our room, engineering's idea of fixing it was turning the AC off and leaving us a box fan, which didn't even work. We were told there were no other rooms, so we had to stay in the current room with no AC. When we forced to stay with no AC and no other choice, we asked for water and were told they didn't have any in the entire hotel. The front desk did feel bad and refunded a nights stay, and the people bringing us soda because there was no water were very empathetic and tried to help best they could. We spent the night sweating on top of the covers, the next morning we packed our stuff and went off for the day. When we got back they did move all of our things into a new room where the AC worked, but 1 night of hell was enough. The workers at the hotel and housekeeping were as helpful as they could be, but what bothers me the most is that someone from engineering went up to a room that had to be 100 degrees, couldn't fix it, left a broken box fan and told the front desk it was all set. For the reputation this hotel is supposed to have this is unacceptable.
